Could have been better!

Upon arrival to the condo (after check in at 4pm) we found that it had not yet been cleaned (beds unmade, dirty towels in the bathroom, counters were dirty, etc). I called Bob to inquire and was treated rather poorly by him as he stated that the condo was not on his schedule to be cleaned. I was not upset because I understand that things happen but then he made me feel that I was inconveniencing him by calling and requesting it to be clean. Not once did I receive an apology in fact he called me back 10 minutes later and rudely asked how many people we had staying with us because now he had to get towels ready for us. My family and I then decided since we couldn't get into the place to have dinner like we had planned we ended up going into Boyne for dinner. I then got a text (not even a phone call) about an hour and a half later stating "condo is ready." I just felt that this was unacceptable and mostly for the way it was handled versus it not being ready on time. I do not feel that being rude to your customers is the way to handle a business such as this!

The condo itself was very accommodating for our family and was in the perfect location between the lodge, Deer Lake, downtown Boyne and downtown Petoskey however there are a few things that need to be addressed and/or fixed throughout the condo. For example a few of the outlets do not work throughout the condo, the kitchen sink and bathroom sink on the lower level need new faucets as the pressure is minimal, the kitchen utensils and cookware need updating, the burners on the stove need to be fixed and the ledge on the door of the refrigerator needs to be fixed.

We have stayed in many other condos through the years in northern Michigan and this was our first experience staying at the mountain. We would definitely stay again but would find another property to stay at based on our experience.

If you want ANTS crawling on you and your food for vacation this is the home for you!

The area is beautiful and we plan to return. However we will NEVER use this unit or any unit owned or run by a company associated with it. The outside of the unit was not well cared for. The door we entered was covered with bugs and webs. So was the back patio which also looked very dirty. The unit was mostly clean inside and I do appreciate that. There was mold growing on the jets of the tub which was pretty disgusting. So if you advertise a jetted tub we better be able to use it. We also wanted to ride the 'free' chair lift but since we were not actually part of the resort we couldn't and had to pay. Contacted Dave the owner. He didn't offer to call the resort or help us in any way and we were told it's always been free. Not only did the front desk clarify it there was a big sign saying it. So that call was an epic waste of my time. But the REAL disappointment was because of the terrible ant problem this unit has.Who wants to go on vacation and have to deal with disgusting bugs?Certainly not me especially since we paid quite a bit to stay there for 3 nights.The reason we chose a unit with a kitchen and not just a hotel room was so we could cook most of our meals at home. When we first got there we noticed the ant traps everywhere and we just thought maybe they were a precautionary measure. Once our food came out so did the ants. On the walls, on the counters, ON OUR FOOD! SO DISGUSTING. Every meal we cooked had ants.We even had ants in our master bedroom bathroom! When we packed up to go home.Guess what all our packed food was covered with? Yep MORE ANTS! In fact we even brought some home. To me this is absolutely unacceptable. But wait there's more. So when I talked to Dave the owner about the chairlift I also mentioned the ant issue. He said "I'll be honest with you. We have a real ant problem. In fact of all the units I maintain this one is probably the worst. We've been dealing with it by putting out traps and spraying but it's not working. In fact we put out all new traps and sprayed the doors and windows right before you got there." So you've sprayed pesticide all over the house where our kids are going to live for the next 4 days.Since this problem was a well known issue I feel like it should have been noted in the overview of the unit.At the VERY least we should have been notified of this issue.

met all expectations

Great rental. clear instructions. Two areas that need fixing:

1. bottom shelf in pantry is mssing some support tabs and is unstable.

2. several of the light bulbs in the unit are burnt out.

3. need to include trash bags in the unit. Most rentals have extra trash bags, helps keep the place clean.

Clean and close by to attractions!

Great value. Condo/townhouse was clean and very close to Boyne Mountain Resort. Also close to Petosky, which has a wonderful downtown and beach area. Only negative were the shower heads in 2 of the 3 bathrooms needed replacing, as they sprayed everywhere. Otherwise, nice stay.

It was a great property, exactly what we needed.

Property was great beautiful place to visit so much to do and so many ways to stay busy. Fantastic trip!! Only thing that needs to be looked at was the coffee maker in our unit it took over an hour to brew 1 pot of coffee.
