Big confortable flat, but needs thorough cleaning.
The flat has a lot of space and is confortably furnished. The owner was very flexible about the check in time, but had to leave soon after letting us in. Once we started exploring the flat we discovered that the kitchen and some of the bathrooms were not properly clean. I'm not very picky, but there were white marks around the sinks, limescale on the shower tiles and the inside of the bathroom door looked like it hadn't been cleaned for years. The kitchen was the same, dirty sink, clean dishes in the dishwasher, leftover food in the fridge and rubbish in the bin. The owner called the cleaner back after I sent her some pictures, but it only improved slightly after the second cleaning. In the morning we found out that the microwave and the toaster weren't working. Informed the owner again but due to personal problems she couldn't solve these issues. The linens and towels were clean, though. The location is a bit far from the center, but we got around by bus, it's easy enough to get to central Rome. There are supermarkets and restaurants right below. The owner warned us about the noise when we first arrived, because the neighbours were very picky about it. Odd that she accepted our booking with 5 adults and 4 kids. If we had known that before booking we might have chosen a different place, because we had to keep the kids under reigns all the time. All and all, the flat looks lovely and is cheaper than similar flats due to being further away from the center, but needs a top to bottom cleaning and some refurbishment, especially in the kitchen.
Très bonnes prestations pour un bel appartement avec un emplacement pratique pour visiter Rome (arrêt de bus à côté de l'appartement)
Le quartier est assez calme. C'est une location que je recommande.
Fabulous flat in Rome
Huge flat with 3 bedrooms and large living room. Plenty to room for our family of 7. The 4 bathrooms are an added bonus. Flat is well appointed in nice part to Testrevere near the top of the hill. Conveniently located to bus stops to get to anywhere in Rome. Used Roma pass for our 3 day stay. Worked out great. Chiara was super cooperative and helpful, spending time to sit with us to provide recommendations and answer questions. Couldn't be happier with our experience. Great stay.
This apartment is as good as the pictures. We had a wonderful stay and there was plenty of room for two families. It was a great place to recharge and relax. It was clean, comfortable and Chiara was excellent and helpful. I thought we had posted this earlier but I wish we were going back again this year!
Beautiful, Elegant, Absolutely Gorgeous!
Our family of four stayed here one week. This place is outrageously beautiful, comfortable, large, fully equipped, nicely decorated....it is a MANSION! It is much nicer than the pictures if you could believe that! Chiara is a very gracious host and made herself available to us during our stay and helped us with our taxi too. The apartment is in a quite residential neighborhood which really helped us relax in the evenings. The bus station is literally across the street with a number of bakeries and stores and bank right around the apartment. I know where I'd be staying on my next trip to Rome! Don't miss out....this place is FANTASTIC!
I celebrated my 40th birthday in Italy and couldn't have found a better place to stay. Including myself, there were 5 in our group. The apartment is GORGEOU and spacious with plenty of natural lighting in the living area and Cairo room. My mom and I personally claimed the Cairo room for ourselves. Being the birthday girl and all I felt it was best to settle into the room which was HUGE with its own balcony overlooking the courtyard below. I so loved this room. The bed slept sooooo comfortably as well. With 5 women traveling it was especially great to have 4 bathrooms to have individual space and time to get ready for going out.
There is a pizzeria literally steps away from the apartment, not to mention the store at the end of the street for sodas, wine, meats, cheeses, coffee and household cleaning items. There are bakery/pastry shops and coffee shops along with restaurants within easy walking distance. There are outdoor markets at the end of the street open from 6 AM to noon selling fruits, vegetables, fresh fish, and flowers.
We all had plenty of room and were beyond excited with how beautiful, spacious and nice the apartment was. We especially loved the fact that we could feel, at least for 6 days, like we were actually living in Italy and going home to our place. We were still close to everything either by bus or taxi and rather enjoyed using the bus and feeling like we were getting our bearings. It was also nice to have a washing machine clean our clothes mid-trip and a full kitchen to cook if we so desired. There was even a separate wine fridge.
Chiara is a blessing and a gem of a person. She has a genuine love and appreciation of history, architecture, and travel and so "gets it" at the cellular level even that she made our stay stellar. She reminded us of some of the cultural norms so we wouldn't make ourselves look too silly and she gave some of the BEST recommendations on activities and restaurants. Her advice on sites to visit and the best times to do so were invaluable. She helped make my 40th birthday so very special.
We loved the neighborhood and how kind and patient the business owners were with us and our limited Italian. We still used an app and tried very respectfully and painfully (for the owners I'm sure) to communicate in Italian. We didn't want to be rude and obnoxious travelers and did our best to use some key phrases with a lot of polite smiles and nodding.
I would definitely stay here again.
The flat is located in the residential district of Gianicolo, in an ancient palace of the '30s, a few minutes walking from Trastevere and the Vatican.
The main characteristic Bed and Breakfast Leotauro is the perfect combination of proximity to the major attractions of the city and the tranquillity of the neighbourhood immersed in the green where it is located.
Nearby there are two of the most beautiful public parks of Rome and the amazing park of the Gianicolo park from the which there's the best panoramic view of the city.
