Cute and Cozy Cabin

  • 4 of 5

Cute little cabin had everything we needed. The two beds and futon were all comfortable for sleeping. The kitchen had all the supplies we needed.

We enjoyed the fire pit outside under the trees.

The river is only a short 2-3 minute drive down the hill. My daughter and I parked at the boat launch area and fished in the mornings. Such a beautiful quiet spot on the river! We caught bass and bluegill and saw herons and eagles.

The location was great. We were only 20 minutes from the Luray caverns and other restaurants in town. We also went to Skyline drive twice which was about 25 minutes from the cabin.

Overall it was a great three nights in Shenandoah!

Owner's Response: OH, we are so glad you enjoyed the cabin, the Shenandoah River and our area. Come back in the Winter for different view (ie no leaves)! Thanks

We really enjoyed ourselves.

  • 5 of 5

The place was clean and well kept. Everything worked great. The only downside was that we lost power for a few hours during a storm early Sunday morning, but that is obviously no fault of the owners. In spite of that we had a great time.

Underwhelming experience

  • 1 of 5

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

The cottage is located in a nice area but the place needs attention to to many details. No light in the grill area, no light by the whirlpool. The grill ash can was filled up to the top and the cleanliness in the cottage was not up to standards, overall very dusty and China and Glassware were not properly cleaned. We couldnt have a shower in our 3 days/2 nights as the handle was broken, only option was fill the tiny tub and get a bath in there. Not nice at all. There was mold in the bathroom and the tiles were dirty. Bathtub has cigarette burns marks. we didn't use the whirlpool. Sofa is not in the best condition ever. We have been several times in Sennandoah and I won't recommend this place which by the way is not cheap. There are better cottages by Luray' s Arrowhead Lake. Our second night water stopped running in the afternoon. Not the best stay overall; however we love Sennandoah and we will be back again but not here.

Nice balance

  • 5 of 5

We really liked the location of the house; it was far enough up in the mountains to feel totally "away from it all," but close enough to drive in to Luray easily (10-15 minutes) and even Front Royal (about 40 minutes). The house itself is clean and charming, the beds were quite comfortable, and we enjoyed the hot tub off the bedroom quite a bit. A good value, and we'd stay here again.

Great place to spend a weekend

  • 4 of 5

The view was beautiful and the cabin was homey and relaxing-the perfect place to spend a weekend away! The hot tub was great, and we made good use of the fire pit out back.
