Enjoy a campfire in firepit near the water or start up a fire in the wood stove during the colder season. Enjoy beautiful mornings on the deck watching wildlife and silent trollers fishing in the early hours. Savor the day watching brilliant sunsets on the deck or from the dock. Read a book or just listen to the water lapping against the shore. Modern kitchen with all the amenities to make a home-cooked meal. Cable in three rooms and wireless throughout the house to stay in touch or not.

Sorry, no tents or RV's.

Great restaurants for nightlife entertainment and quiet, intimate meals. Frye Island Ferry is less than a mile away for a biking/hiking/restaurant adventure on Frye Island. Great Spot ! Great Cabin

  • 5 of 5

My wife, our 2 kids(age 2 and 7), and I spent a long fall weekend at wild acres. Everyone had a great time. The view from the back deck looking over the cove was great. My family Loved sitting out there at night star gazing. Each morning, a red fox ran by the front of the house. Kids loved the beach, which is basically across the street. Very secluded, yet only 15-20 minutes from restaurants and shops! Had a blast and can't wait to go back!

Great Cabin in a Gorgeous Spot!

  • 5 of 5

This lovely wood-lined cottage overlooks a beautiful cove and rests in an attractive wooded area. The community association beach is a very short walk away; we were welcomed warmly by neighbors at the beach. The back deck overlooking the water is large and appealing. From morning coffee to some evening meals, we spent lots of happy time there. The house was very clean, tastefully decorated, and well-equipped. We especially enjoyed the canoe and kayaks. The loom motif in the living room was echoed by the real loons in the cove. We also enjoyed ducks, chipmunks, red squirrels, lots of birds (including a great blue heron), and a red fox walking along the road late one afternoon! We felt removed from civilization, but nice restaurants were easy to find a few miles away. Our experience at Wild Acres could not have been nicer.

Wonderful time! Beautiful cabin and Lake.

  • 5 of 5

This was our first family vacation with our 11 month old son! We had a wonderful time and many great memories were made. The cabin exceeded our expectations. It was well equipt, and was more private then we had expected. There was even kayaks, a canoe, and a row boat to use. We brought our own boat and enjoyed the luxury of having the dock. We loved the fact that it's in a cove off from the open lake. The water is very calm so your boat isn't bouncing against the dock the whole time. We also enjoyed being close to Frye Island, where we spent many afternoons grabbing a bite to eat. We will definitely return again to make more memories.A big thanks to Dave

Our family had a wonderful time at your charming lakehome. The cottage was exceptionally clean and was stocked everything we needed. We enjoyed the fireplace and just relaxing with our morning coffee on the beautiful deck above the lake. Very peaceful comfortable place to stay. We definitely will consider this property again. Thanks Dave and Maryann.

Lovely lakeside cottage

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I had a nice vacation at the cottage. It was very cozy and well appointed. This cottage gives you the luxury of being located on the quiet cove but are only a few steps away from a small beach overlooking the entire lake. I would recommend this rental in a heartbeat.

Beautiful, Peaceful Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We just had a very relaxing vacation week staying at the cottage. The weather was perfect and my wife and three girls (7,4 and 2) had a wonderful time. The beach is a very short walk from the cottage which makes it easy with kids as we could run back and forth to grab lunch, use the bathroom, etc. As the beach is for the association use only most days we were the only family there - we did get the opportunity to meet some of the other cottage owners in the association who were extremely nice and hospitable.

At night my girls had a great time chasing fireflies and sitting by the fire pit making s'mores. After the kids went down, my wife and i would sit on the deck and enjoy a couple of drinks while enjoying the view of the lake - definitely need a little bug spray as you'd expect but overall not too bad.

We did take a couple of day trips to both Storyland (about an hour and 5 minutes) and to Santa's Village (about an hour and 50 minutes)...not exactly close by but still a manageable scenic car ride that the kids did enjoy.

My wife was very pleased with the cleanliness of the cottage and also to find all the necessities in the kitchen. Most nights we would eat out on the deck which the kids really enjoyed as well.

Overall a very relaxing week and we were very pleased with the property and beach. Well worth the price and i would definitely recommend.
