This 1945 classic lofty hillside residence with 4 Master Bedrooms & 4.5 baths was entirely renovated and redesigned in 2014 for Architectural Digest AD 100 by Architect John Ike for his own personal San Diego home.

Luckily there is a telescope in the residence so that you can enjoy the spectacular panoramic views that stretch from Cabrillo Point and the Pacific Ocean, to the 10,000 foot high Pacific Coast Range east of downtown San Diego.

The never ending parade of ships and sailboats in San Diego Bay below would be enough to keep you occupied during your entire stay!

It's also one of those homes that you really have to be inside of in order to appreciate the excellent design and intriguing detailed craftsmanship that has been created for your comfort and viewing pleasure.

Each of the Master Bedrooms (two on each level) have spectacular views and are decorated with vintage mid- century furniture and custom made beds, each with its own bath, and all but one affording access to the outdoors. We have two King sized beds, 2 twins, 1 queen and two single pull out couches.

The custom kitchen paneled entirely in Hemlock with cork floors and ceilings, features a vintage Chambers Range and Oven, Subzero refrigerator, Convection Oven Microwave, and opens to an outdoor dining terrace with a built in charcoal Weber plus a separate gas grill.

An upstairs lofty shingled great room with 13' ceilings and a wall of sliding glass panels features a living area, fireplace, dining area and a chic stand up bar and vintage McIntosh Stereo. Vintage mid-century furniture, art and textiles lend an air of casual elegance to this room you just don't want to leave.

A lower level additional sitting room with floor to ceiling glass and ultra HD 4K TV provides and alternative place to hang out.

So pack your bags and get ready to enjoy- two expansive decks, two additional patio areas, two living areas, 2 fireplaces, private jacuzzi, private terraced area amongst the orange and lemon and olive trees, eat in kitchen, dining area, office space with WIFi and printer, washer dryer, dishwasher, telescope, hammock, wet bar and 6 HD TV's.

fabulous house, great location, wonderful management

House is as pictured-and that is great. Very well stocked with all one could need-dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, napkins etc etc

Suggestions by Susan as to places to eat etc are right on. Liberty Place a mile away is special. Would stay again in a minute. Three generation family with 4 adults and two boys ages 8 and 10---perfect in every way.

Impressive and fun mid-century modern home

Quite simply, our group of six (three couples) thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house was very well appointed (martini glasses - check!) and the view was just incredible. It was great that every bedroom had its own bathroom. The location was very convenient to the airport and to downtown. Property management was efficient and professional with excellent communication. We would definitely recommend and stay again!

This was a fabulous property for our family of 6.

The house was exactly as described. Susan, the property manager was very helpful and gave us a lot of good ideas for restaurants etc. The location is fabulous-near most everything. Liberty Market Place ( about 1 mile away) was wonderful. The house was clean and well maintained and when something broke the response was quick. The house was the best stocked property we've ever been in- lots of toiletries, napkins, paper towels, laundry detergent-anything you could think of. We would highly recommend this house.

The only negative was that the bedrooms lack room darkening window treatment and if that is a problem you would need to address it- we did with garbage bags and masking tape.

Exceeded expectations in every way.

Truly a dream house - utterly comfortable and accommodating, while also being quite spectacular, inside and out. We found ourselves challenged to leave the house for San Diego adventures, because just staying"home" felt like all one could wish for. The hot tub was a wonderful plus, and the landscaping, simply to die for. Neighborhood, views, convenience......check, check check! Thank you.

Better than the pictures!

The pictures of this property are good, but the real thing is even better :). Walking through the front door and seeing the view out the back for the first time is really something.

The home is very well equipped with everything you might need. It is a perfect home for 4 couples, as every bedroom has its own private bath. Plenty of room to spread out with living spaces on both levels. Two large decks, an amazing yard, and the hot tub are all great.

Great location, plenty of parking.
