Charming - Unplugged
It was so nice to get away from it all and back to nature. This cabin is rustic but charming, with all of the amenities we wanted. It's far enough away from the city for the stars to be brightly visible and we heard all variety of wildlife - from crickets to owls! We were able to cook outside and light a fire in the fire pit.
Dusty and smelt very musty!
The drive way to the cabin was long and rough. Upon entering the cabin...it smelled VERY musty and smelled like mold. The smell didn't subside even after opening all the doors and turning on fans. We paid for 3 nights, but left after 2 days because we both ended up with severe congestion. The cabin was VERY dusty to. I have pictures if needed. It wasn't just a week or 2 of dust..it appeared to have not been dusted in several months. On the last day of our rental, I was notified that the water was going to be shut off the following morning for repairs. In my personal opinion, if the cabin was cleaned it would be somewhat comfortable. The pictures are deceiving because the yard and cabin is completely filled with items. Every time you enter a room or the yard you see something you had never seen before.
Sit something of yours down somewhere and it will never be found again!
There isn't one place in the front yard that doesn't have a chair, some sort of decoration or something on it. It looks very chaotic and for me personally not relaxing at all. I have pictures of this too if needed.
Hi Karla, We are sorry to hear that your stay fell short of expectations! The heavy storms in the area did cause some issues with local roads, but repairs to the driveway have been completed. The owner does apologize if the scheduled water shut off impacted your stay; this is outside of the control of local homeowners and they hope that the bottled water they provided made up for any inconvenience. The owner is dedicated to the comfort of their guests and wishes that you had reached out while you were still at the property - they would have been happy to assist you with any questions or concerns! The owner takes the cleanliness of their cabin seriously, and we are confident that they will continue to provide 5 star stays for future travelers in a clean and comfortable home. Best, the Evolve Team
The cabin was very comfortable and well stocked.
We had a wonderful time at the Cabin in the woods. The outdoor space was great to relax in the afternoon and enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings. Especially loved the collection of albums, it really brought in us back in time.
The owners made sure we were at home and had everything we needed. We highly recommend staying here.
We’ve stayed at this cabin twice and have thoroughly enjoyed both visits! Our family enjoyed a fire outside, played board games/puzzles, and cooking in the cute, well equipped kitchen. The cabin is beautifully decorated and is a wonderful place to relax and spend time with family! Mary Beth was a great host! We highly recommend this cabin!
We felt at home immediately!
We spent Christmas in this lovely cabin and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Everything we needed was provided, everything was fresh and clean and everywhere we looked was evidence of Mary Beth’s love of life, color and whimsy! She had a decorated Christmas tree and festive table all ready for our celebration and so many wonderful holiday touches throughout the cabin. And the porches, garden with fire pit and surrounding woods just brought our stay to a higher level of enjoyment! We smiled and laughed with delight at the blend of the natural world and the creation of little vignettes in every nook and cranny...a delight for children and adults alike. We booked an extre day after we arrived so that we could spend a bit more time in this tranquil cabin at the end of the road.
Cozy and quiet
My husband and I were in town with our 2 dogs for a wedding. The cabin in the woods was absolutely the perfect spot for all of us. Cabin was cozy and had all the amenities we could need and the area was quiet and relaxing.
