Villa Joelle is a tropical gem in anse Marcel. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the gracious and charming owner until we left 10 days later our stay at the Villa was totally enjoyable.
This was in large part due to Jennifer the charming manager of this property and to boot an excellent trained chef. A definite bonus to staying at this Villa. No request was too much trouble for her to accommodate.
Although there were wonderful flat screen Tv's in each bedroom we wanted one In the main living room to watch the Superbowl . No sooner said then done, the next day Jennifer arranged an additional TV and VCR in the living room.
Jennifer prepared three outstanding dinners for us during our stay at the Villa. Her preparation and presentation were fabulous and the meals served at the lovely outside dining table overlooking the Caribbean were idyllic .
The inside/outside living area was fabulous for our group of 6 friends and could easily have handled several more. Whether one wanted to relax in the sun or shade by the pool or on the enormous veranda there was ample seating for all.
The wifi was also an added bonus as it let all of us keep in touch with family members back home.
The kitchen was well equipped and we really loved the use of the professional expresso machine. All the bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and Denise who came everyday but Sunday kept the place spotless.
The location of this Villa is excellent. It is only a 5 minute walk to the beautiful sandy beach which offers terrific swimming as the waters are calm and clean. Then a 10 minute car ride will take you to Grande Case which offers some of the best dining in all of St. Martin.
There is no question that we will return to Villa Joelle.

What a beautiful view and a nice private location. There were 11 of us that stayed at the villa Joelle there was plenty of room to spread out and relax enjoy the view and pool. Cathy was incredibly helpful especially when she had to wait for us at the car rental place she also recommended some wonderful restaurants for us to enjoy. It was nice to have a house keeper there so we could just sit back and relax. I would recommend Villa Joelle!
The were 14 of us who stayed at Villa Joelle over Christmas. We ranged in age from 1 to 81. The house was perfect for a large group and we really enjoyed the pool. The house is very unique with lots of great art. There was enough space to find some quiet time but also good gathering areas for the whole gang. The kitchen is large and well equipped. From being met at the car rental place, to having champagne and foie gras awaiting our arrival, the hospitality shown by Andy and Joelle was first rate. The Ance Marcel area is a bit out of the way but we enjoyed the quiet and the great views. There are few restaurants within a short walk and the rest of the island is only minutes away.
Everything excellent: the villa, the rooms, the kitchen, the location, the housekeeper, the island and the weather!
We stayed at the Villa Joelle from 11/29 to 12/7/14. We looked at many properties but finally came across this hidden jem! Wtah a true paradise! The location and the views are simply spectacular! Walking distance to the best beach in St Martin - Anse Marcel. However, we drove down the hill to the beach because we had little children. It takes less than a minute to get down, plenty of parking space and great beach side restaurant with impeccable bathroom facilities. The beach is just perfect, calm water, white lush sand, exclusive and quiet pristine experience. All that said, Villa Joelle location could not be more perfect and ideal! In addition, some of the best restaurants on the island are near by as well as a major supermarket Simply is 5 minutes away which is wonderful.
As for the Villa, it's an amazing place! It had everything and more than we needed. Very spacious, lots of outdoor living space, beautifully decorated, comfortable. We stayed with 2 other families, total of 6 adults and 6 kids. Initially, we were worried that it won't give us any privacy and will feel somewhat crowded. Not at all! Plenty of space for everyone.
The owner Joelle is great. She checked on us every day to see if we needed anything and if we were ok. The cleaning ladies were so sweet and did an amazing job looking after us on daily basis. Special thanks to Cathy and Andy! Before we arrived, they inquired whether we need anything in the house for us and the kids. We came in after a long flight with a fridge stocked with food for the kids and us + lots of wine/alcohol choices for adults to unwind a bit. Very thoughtful and caring!
To some up, amazing place, perfect location and the best beach in the entire St Marteen. You can't go wrong with this place! We can't wait to come back!
A big group of us attending a wedding at the Raddison Blu below rented the villa for the week. We had such an amazing time. The location, for us, could not have been better, 5 minutes to the hotel, 7 to the beach. The beach access was never an issue and we used the beach freely despite not being hotel guests. The stove was broken when we got to the house but it was promptly attended to and fixed within 2 days. The kitchen was stocked with food, drinks and alcohol when we arrived and the housekeeper came everyday and kept the place in tip top shape. We had a dinner party 1 night with 25 guests and the villa was plenty big enough, with enough plates and silverwear to easily feed and drink everyone. Were we ever to have a reason to be on the island again we wouldn't hesitate to rent the villa! Amazing experience.
We planned this family trip at the wish of my sister who has terminal cancer. When booking I had let Andy, the property manager know why we were coming to Saint Martin and he and the owner's were amazing in accommodating us and providing helpful advice for our stay. From meeting us at the airport, helping us with our rental vehicle and transporting all of our luggage - there was 18 of us - Andy, Cathy, Tony and Joelle were wonderful. The cleaning staff was there every day and always willing to help if we had questions - especially with kitchen appliances! Villa Joelle was amazing - gorgeous views, clean and bright surroundings and an wonderfully peaceful ambiance, which was just what we needed. We did our own grocery shopping and ate down at the Radisson resort a few times, mostly at Tony's restaurant - highly recommended! We also had a surprise wedding to plan when my sister's boyfriend proposed to her - Tony and Andy worked hard to find an official who would come to the villa to perform a ceremony for the engaged couple. It made for a very special and magical day. Our group ranged in age from 7 to 84 and everyone was very pleased with their rooms and surroundings. The pool was used frequently and kept very clean. We did have a some issues with the air conditioning in a couple of the rooms, and the water pressure in the upper floor showers, but these issues were looked after quickly. When you are in paradise the minor things really don't matter! Our group had rented three vehicles, which we used for our day trips and going out to dinner a few of the nights. We toured the island, some of the group went scuba diving, some parasailing, and we took a sailboat cruise on the Random Wind from Simpson Bay on our last full day. Weather was great, although a touch windy for the last two days which made the sailing day a little rough - the crew modified the sail so we spent more time stationary, swimming and snorkeling.
Staying in a villa is definitely not for everyone - no all inclusive meals or drinks, no scheduled entertainment or activities, but if you are not into the resort scene this type of vacation is perfect. Our young people probably would have preferred the resort lifestyle, but they managed just fine and took a cab out one night to check out the local night-life. This vacation has provided us with some wonderful memories and we are very grateful that we found Villa Joelle. I know some of us would go back there in a heartbeat :).
