Enjoy a nice vacation away from the city life. Located about 2 miles on a dirt road, away from it all on this 5 acre cozy cabin retreat.
As far and secluded this location may be, it's only about 15 miles to the Joshua Tree Natl Park Visitors center on Utah Trail. You will also be about 10 miles from gas.
Many guests enjoy the wide open spaces and a view of the stars at night. Bring your telescopes, rc planes, ATVs, campers or whatever the city life won't let you enjoy.
The property is secured with about 29,000 sqft of fenced in area on a 5 acre parcel.
I will strive to give you a 5 star experience.

Interaction with Guests

Seclusion, peace and quiet. Stunning scenery. Better than camping in the National Park. 5 Acres to yourself. What a vacation is to be like. Only a few neighbors nearby. The Palms Restaurant & Bar about 5 miles east from property on Amboy Rd. Other food, gas, etc about 10-15 miles west.
This area has inspired and created film writers, movies, music videos, authors, programmers & more. Not to mention that even celebrities have retired in this area. Since there has been a rich history in this area from gold mining to homesteading, you will get to experience a rustic southern part of California America that is slow to the touch of this fast paced developing world we live in.

About the water supply:
House is supplied by a hot water well, upto 140f before settling and cooling in a supply tank. This water is NOT treated with chemicals like city water and just filtered through mesh screen filters. This water is similar to the water from a natural desert hot spring. Although this water is great for showers, like tap water, it is not recommended to drink or cook with due to the high mineral content.
To Avoid Extra Charges:
Please make sure no house items are accidentally packed or missing.
Please leave the house in the same condition it was presented in.
Please do not leave pets un-attended inside the house.
Make sure any damages are addressed immediately.
Please put used towels in laundry basket.
Please do not spill food/drinks on bed.
Please smoke outside.

This place had everything we needed for our family of 3 with 2 puppies . We enjoyed the jacuzzi and enclosed outdoor area even though weather was very windy during our stay. Place is nicely equipped, was spotless clean when we arrived and had a nice little touch of extra snacks and drinks . Owner was available for immediate questions . We loved this place .
Perfect for a couple on their own or with children. Very dog-friendly!
My fiance and I came here for 2 days after Christmas and absolutely loved it!
-The owner is the best! Very responsive and friendly.
-Very neat and clean
-Lovely gift basket on arrival
-The fenced-in yard is great for dogs and small kids who can run around and play without -worrying about coyotes
-Great for stargazing at night
-Hot tub and fire pit are a very nice touch
-Very out of the way, it's about 15 minutes from the East entrance to park a requires a 2 mile drive on a dirt road.
-Difficult to find at night if that is when you are arriving
-Internet was very slow
-Kitchen was missing some very basic elements (tongs, baking sheet, spatula, pan larger than 10 inches, wine glasses, smaller glasses for other mixed drinks, mixing bowl, and a bowl to mix a salad in)
-In the middle of nowhere so there are really no places to hike or rock scamper without heading into the park
Overall we would absolutely come again. It lived up to its name and was completely cozy and comfortable. If you come to Joshua Tree to enjoy the park and just want a clean and comfortable place to return to, you cannot beat this in terms of price and cleanliness.
If you like to cook and plan to do so, I would strongly suggest verifying with the owner if she has something you'll need and/or bringing your own gear. We had to go the dollar store to buy some tongs, measuring cups, and a salad bowl. My only suggestion to the owner would be to add a few essentials to the kitchen. Other than that, it was absolutely perfect.
A Desert Oasis
If you're looking for a nice place for a couple or small family getaway near Joshua Tree National Park, this is it. My wife and I had this little desert gem for 4 nights and days, and we had a great time. Temps were in the low/mid 90's, but the pool was cool and sparkling clean, and the Jacuzzi at night was also great. The studio itself was very clean and bright both inside and out. I brought my telescopes and enjoyed clear, dark skies under mild temps. I would like to thank the owner, Mazen, for renting this desert retreat, as he made our stay an easy one. The only things I would like to see are a few more pans, large one especially, a few more utensils and more drinking glasses, but this was a minor inconvenience and doesn't take away from all the pluses. An easy 5 stars!
The host was super helpful and responsive. Incredible star gazing as no light pollution for miles.
Very clean. Everything you need.
Awesome for our dog's.
The property was awesome had everything we needed and more, loved the remoteness no street lights or sirens. Thanks
Fine, comfortable stay
We were pleased with the very clean, snug, apparently new cabin - particularly as we arrived during some bitterly cold winter winds. We were immediately comfortable, and appreciated that our host had left snacks. The best part was xmas night, after we made dinner in the good kitchen, as we relaxed in the hot tub and gazed at stars. I loved wondering around the property the next morning at sunrise, feeling perfectly safe from distant howling coyotes as I watched the light change over the unbroken views in every direction. We plan to return.
