About Neil Brown

I am a retired Bloomsburg University professor. I grew up in Laureldale, PA and loved playing sports in school. Served in the USMC and then attended Kutztown University, Lehigh University and Temple University where I received a doctorate. My wife is a retired 1st grade teacher - taught in the Bethlehem Area School District for 37 years.

We especially enjoy college basketball and attend a number of games each year around the country. Our current home is in Bethlehem, PA and we enjoy staying in the Poconos very much.

Neil Brown purchased this chalet in 2015

Why Neil Brown chose Pennsylvania

I loved vacationing and visiting the Poconos my entire lifetime. An Amish friend of mine designed and constructed a log home for us. We were not there enough and thought other people might enjoy staying in our vacation home. Since then, we now have 3 chalets available for people to enjoy as much as we do.

What makes this chalet unique

The chalet is located on a mountain top near the Lehigh River Gorge. The gorge is noted for rafting, fishing, hiking and biking.

This is a historic area - the Industrial Revolution began along the Lehigh River. There are many attractions in the area - too many to mention. However, if you want to do absolutely nothing it is also the perfect place.

Amazing cabin getaway

  • 5 of 5

This was my fourth time staying in this home with a group and every time has been exceptional. The cabin is always clean and welcoming. Everything is in working order and it is always stocked with towels, blankets, toilet paper, etc. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. We always have a great time and the comfortable atmosphere makes the trip truly perfect.

This was our 2nd long weekend stay in this gorgeous chalet. Everything is turnkey and extremely clean! We couldn't ask for a more beautiful or better kept home to vacation in. The owners are kind and beyond helpful!

Fantastic property

  • 5 of 5

This was our 3rd year at this property for our annual Women's Weekend. 13 of us & plenty of space. Very clean & everything is provided. All you need to bring are your personal items. Our favorite things are the porch & the backyard fire pit. You will not be disappointed if you rent this house. Neil is a great owner to work with. We already have our plans to return next year.

Two thumbs up!

  • 5 of 5

I went with a church group of 16 people and it was great! It accommodated all of us comfortably and was very cozy. Neil was great communicating with me and was quick to respond to my messages and emails. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone!

A Perfect Stay!

  • 5 of 5

We recently rented the chalet for a long weekend in the Poconos - a group of five families with kids. The house was clean, roomy, and in a great location. The owner was easily accessible and great to work with. He even helped with our spa reservations for the moms in the group. We had a wonderful time and will most certainly be back!
