About Neil Brown

I am a retired Bloomsburg University professor. I grew up in Laureldale, PA and loved playing sports in school. Served in the USMC and then attended Kutztown University, Lehigh University and Temple University where I received a doctorate. My wife is a retired 1st grade teacher - taught in the Bethlehem Area School District for 37 years.

We especially enjoy college basketball and attend a number of games each year around the country. Our current home is in Bethlehem, PA and we enjoy staying in the Poconos very much.

Neil Brown purchased this chalet in 2015

Why Neil Brown chose Pennsylvania

I loved vacationing and visiting the Poconos my entire lifetime. An Amish friend of mine designed and constructed a log home for us. We were not there enough and thought other people might enjoy staying in our vacation home. Since then, we now have 3 chalets available for people to enjoy as much as we do.

What makes this chalet unique

The chalet is located on a mountain top near the Lehigh River Gorge. The gorge is noted for rafting, fishing, hiking and biking.

This is a historic area - the Industrial Revolution began along the Lehigh River. There are many attractions in the area - too many to mention. However, if you want to do absolutely nothing it is also the perfect place.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Booked the home for a weekend getaway with a group of friends, and we couldn't have been more pleased! The chalet was extremely clean, well-kept, and cozy. We were having some WiFi connection issues, but Neil was helpful and quick in resolving the issue. Highly recommend this place for anyone who wants a relaxing weekend away!

Spacious and Cozy. Good Vibes.

  • 5 of 5

Came with a group of 12 and we had such a wonderful time. The house was clean and everything was nicely laid out and ready to go when we got there. Even the pool table was racked up, which I found to be a nice touch.

As you can see in the pictures, the house itself has a really great aesthetic. We came in late January and the house was warm and comfortable and the hot tub was a nice bonus. The house has a secluded feel and we even got a fire going out back with wood supplied at the house.

Neil was a pleasure to communicate with and all of his responses were timely and informative. We will definitely look into a return trip in the future. Thanks Neil!

Had my birthday weekend here, this would be my second time at this house. The home has everything you need, clean and comfortable, the owner and his team are very easy to communicate and work with. Looks exactly like it does in the pics and now my friends want to rent it for a different event, everybody had a great time, highly recommend

Everything about the home is inviting! All necessities are there to make the stay feel comfortable and over all memerable. Neil and his team are always on point with making the stay comfortable and convenient. This was our second year at the home and certainly won't be the last!!! I highly recommend this place, compared to other homes we have stayed in, this home by far surpssses expectations and is certainly one of the best. Home away from home.
