About Mathieu Bouchout

Hi, my name is Mathieu, I am originally from France living in New York for over a decade. With a passion for architecture, design, art and photography, I`ve always loved traveling and discovering stylish hotels and homes all over. I love Nature, outdoors and mountain sports, hiking, snowboarding and such.

It is a pleasure for me to meet people from everywhere and sharing experience of a unique home in Brooklyn.

Mathieu Bouchout purchased this townhome in 2002

Why Mathieu Bouchout chose Brooklyn

This place is my baby, I furnished and decorated this place like I would live there more than a renter's apartment. I am a self-made interior decorator and do professionally stagings for properties that are for sale. I gave themes to the rooms and always update my apartment once a year (usually I take January off) to refresh the apartment and repaint it. You will get a great experience staying here, I give a lot of heart to what I do.

What makes this townhome unique

On top of all of the dining options the neighborhood has to offer, please note that a food court: The Gotham Market at the Ashland recently opened a block away from the house with 2 bars and believe 8 vendors. A great place for a large group to discover a variety of excellent food!

Convenient and Comfortable Setting for Enjoying Brooklyn and NYC

  • 5 of 5

5 of us stayed here for a week during Xmas holidays and it was great (even had some holiday decorations in the living room). We were close to several subway stops and it was easy to get around Brooklyn and get to Manhattan. Having each bedroom with its own bathroom was especially convenient. Mathieu met us for check in and showed us how everything worked. Only thing we couldn't find were measuring spoons and cups for some baking, but otherwise kitchen had what we needed. The neighborhood was quiet at night and had stores and restaurants nearby. Will definitely recommend this place to family and friends traveling to NYC.

Wonderful Place

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our family Thanksgiving vacation at this wonderful place. Our flight was late and Mathieu was very accommodating in meeting us. Thank you! Everything was clean and comfortable and very spacious. Each couple had their own bath and all linens and towels were very nice. If you are looking for a clean place near subways and restaurants, we would highly recommend this. Thanks again and we will be back :)

Awesome Place In Brooklyn New York

  • 5 of 5

Spacious, comfortable and well decorated. Every amenity which included all appliances in excellent condition, good linens, comfortable beds, kitchen with several condiments, plenty of serviceware and plenty of towels and bathroom amenities. Close to great restaurants, delis and various stores. Fort Greene park is across the street and the apartment is close to transportation. Great natural lighting and a roof top deck with great views. Manager was very informative, friendly and responsive. I highly recommend this place if you plan a trip to NYC. Fort Greene is a great place to visit and stay - and this is the place to stay.

Love, love, love this place!!

  • 5 of 5

We booked this apartment for our family while in NYC for my daughters wedding.

We had a group of seven and Matthieu accommodated us by providing an extra comfy mattress. The place is pretty much as pictured, in a very central location to subways, convenience stores resturants, and parks . Matthieu arranged to have a stretch limo pick us up at JFK so we could all arrive together at the apartment after a long days travel. The apartment is clean, beds are comfy and plenty of room for the 7 of us. Roof top deck is also very nice but was a bit too cold to enjoy it much. Matthieu was a gracious host and very willing to help in anyway needed. I would definitely recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a great apartment, safe neighborhood and convenient location. Our stay was wonderful! Thank you Matthieu!

A beautiful and comfortable place, good location

  • 5 of 5

This triplex is perfect for 6 people, I even would say we had a luxurious stay here. One bathroom per bedroom, a unique rooftop and a living room very pleasant to enjoy the stay together. Decoration with taste and modern style.

Beds are very very comfortable and rooms are spacious.

Nice equipments to listen music, phone available and lots of good recommendations to organize our planning!

It is located very close to the Barclays Center, ideal for basketball fans.

It is also near different subway stops (only few minutes walk), which permits visitors to be in Manhattan very quickly, using an aerian train that show a great view on the statue of liberty and the buildings of downtown.

No need to rent in Manhattan, this appartment is perfect to discover the city and neighbourhoods very easily.

Supermarket at less than 10 minutes walk, and different restaurants if you don't have time to cook.

Brooklyn 3 bedroom

  • 4 of 5

We and our friends rented this unit for a week in June. Location and condition of apartment were as described with about a 10min walk to the express train into Manhattan. We really loved the way it was furnished very bright and contemporary. The deck was not that large but was nice. We didn't use it as much as I thought we would but was a nice feature. I really enjoyed the neighbourhood, lots of interesting restaurants near by. I think that this is a great place for 2 couples that feel like getting more of the NY experience then what is found in the guide books.

The condition was very clean with just about everything you would need.
