Wonderful Victorian three flat that was converted to a single family home. 4 levels of living space. Large back yard with deck. The first floor living room has a gas fireplace with new hardwood floors. Enjoy the two sided fireplace in the dining/kitchen area also. The lower level also features a comfy L shaped sofa to enjoy TV. Window seat also.
This house has lots of rental options: rent one to four bedrooms or the whole house. It is not a condo!! It is a house. If renting rooms, owner will remain on the premise (owner is an avid traveler and will be able to direct you to see the hotspots in Chicago, owner is a trained docent for the Chicago Architecture Foundation and loves to help travelers enjoy Chicago!) Best option is to rent the entire third floor which gives you privacy with 2 bedrooms and an adjoining bath to share. Wonderful balcony off of rear bedroom. Private entrance off the rear balcony. Use of kitchen and living areas too.

Every type of cuisine is within walking distance. Also, walk to Wrigley Field to see the Cubs play or take in a concert. Public transportation is super efficient in this area- buses within a few steps and the L train is only 2 blocks away. Walk to see Blue Man Group too as only 2 blocks away. Nightlife is plentiful. Lots of bars and pub as you get closer to Wrigley Field. Or enjoy a quiet dinner on the rear deck.
I love to travel and use Homeaway properties for my vacations. I have hosted many foreign exchange students from around the world and love welcoming new people into my home.
Donna purchased this house in 1996
Large single family home with 4 levels of living space AND a private back yard with deck. This is not a condo! Very private. This house used to be a three flat (had three 2 bedrooms apartments) and was converted to a single family home in the early 1990's.
It is a single family house that is located only a few blocks from the Lake Michigan and the park. Wrigley Field is just north of the house. When you step outside, the area is filled with shops, great restaurants and super close to public transportation. My rear yard is a perfect oasis in the city. Also easy access to De Paul and Northwestern University. Perfect for graduations.
Me and nine friends stayed in Donna's beautiful house for a long weekend the third year in a row. The house is in the IDEAL location to get to so much that Chicago has to offer. Donna is the consummate professional and super easy to deal with. The house was very clean and well maintained. Would highly recommend for any family and/or friend get away! Hope to be back again next year!!
Property was more then we could have hoped for. Roomy clean and in great location. Donna was very accommodating , for us and and made it possible for 5 couples to stay together. If you are going to the Wrigley field area I highly recommend this home for your group. Also Donna is very helpful in suggestions for things to see and do in Chicago. Wife and I plan on going back and staying in the future.
Stayed in this home for 5 days. Could not have loved it more. Incredibly easy access to the L. Walking distance to Wrigley (we caught two games.) Walking distance to the lake. This is such a fun area. You are minutes away for an incredibly vibrant park of town (bars and restaurants around Wrigley) yet the street is quiet and peaceful. The home is welcoming and cozy. We loved everything about it. Hoping to stay here again in the future.
I had a wonderful time staying at Donna's house with friends. The house has lots of room, light, beds, and is conveniently located. Because of recent renovations, the owner is concerned that all guests take extra care not to damage the floors or paint job, remove shoes when entering the house, etc. In addition, she requires that the alarm be set whenever you're not home. So if having rules to follow stresses you out, another home might be better for you. However, we had no trouble at all and enjoyed our stay very much. Would come back again. Donna is very friendly and has plenty of advice about things to do in the area. She was also very response in replying to messages.
My nine college friends and I stayed at Donna's house for a weekend reunion. We found the house with a variety of bedding options to be a perfect fit for us. It is in a great location which is easily accessible to numerous restaurants and the L station. The women who used the temporary parking permits which Donna provided found street parking to be easy and safe.
Even though the security deposit was $1000, we felt after hearing Donna's reasons for requiring that amount that we would have no problem getting a complete refund which we did and which she promptly returned.
Donna graciously let a few gals who arrived early, check-in ahead of the normal time. She met them at the house, showed them around and gave them a plethora of information around the area.
We all thought the pictures of the house didn't do it justice. So if you like what you see in the photographs, you will love the house. The rooms were roomier and cheerier than shown in the photos. The house is very tastefully decorated and thoughtfully appointed. We wished the weather was better so we could have taken advantage of the charming and spacious backyard.
Between four of us, we have six adult children living in the Lincoln Park/Lakeview/Wrigleyville area so we hosted a small casual cocktail party for them in the house. The house easily accommodated the additional people. All of these twenty-somethings raved about the place as well.
The only hiccup I found was in my correspondence with Donna after making the reservation and leading up to our stay. As one can imagine with a large group, questions would arise about the property. The few times I emailed Donna with these queries, I did not get a timely reply. After letting a few days pass, I would call her and then she would return my email or call. Each time, she was polite about the delay stating that her days were busy.
Even with that very, very slight misstep, the ten of us want to stay at Donna's house for our next reunion. We highly recommend this rental to anyone visiting Chicago.
A group of friends and I stayed in Donna's beautiful house in the best location in Chicago for the second time. The stay was perfect and Donna made us feel incredibly welcome. Could not have asked for better!
Better than a hotel! Stay in a single family home conveniently located near Lake Michigan, Wrigley Field, restaurants, nightlife and public transportation in Chicago's hip Lakeview neighborhood. Walk to the beach and lakefront. Steps to bus line and train station. Every type of cuisine is within walking distance. Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Indian, Mexican, Moroccan, pubs and bars, sandwich shops, Starbucks, Caribou coffee, and much more!

This is a single family home that has 4 levels of living space and a wonderful back yard. It is not a condo! There are decks off the rear of each level. This is a very crisp and clean home, great thread count sheets and towels. You can rent the entire house or just a room or the top floor which has 2 bedrooms and a bath with a rear deck. So close to everything!
