Experience the ambience and comfort of a fine hotel in this lovely beach home just steps from the classic San Clemente pier. The Spanish-style three story attached home is a beautiful example of San Clemente's rich heritage. A stroll through the neighborhood of stucco homes with red tile roofs is a pleasant reminder that pioneer founder Ole Hanson's dream of a 'Spanish Village by the Sea' lives on today.
A four minute walk to the pier reveals a stunning view of the famous San Clemente white sand beach that invites sunning, sand-castle building, body surfing, and boogie boarding by day. By night, relax around a roaring fire at one of the many beach fire-pits after watching the sun set over the majestic Pacific Ocean as it drops behind Santa Catalina Island. Any hard core surfers in your group? Bring your boards, wet suits, and take on the challenge of the best surf California offers at the Pier, T Street Beach, or the renowned 'Trestles'.
Just a five-minute walk to Del Mar Street and you're amidst shopping options galore from swimwear to antiques, trendy boutiques and jewelry shops. There's an 'aha' moment for every shopper's pleasure. Shopping not on your agenda? Then pamper yourself with a treatment at one of the many spas and salons at your service. Excellent eating ranges from the five-star White Horses Restaurant across from the pier to local favorites such as Italian Cravings, Billy's Deli, The Beach Garden, Avila's Mexican Cantina and the Beach Fire Grill.

We'd like to introduce ourselves to you! We're Bob and Maggie Stiles, property owners. Bob built this home in 2004 and we moved in at the beginning of June 2005. We selected this site to be near the ocean, the San Clemente Pier, the beach amenities and the charming town of San Clemente. We are semi retired and enjoy spending time in Palm Desert where we have another VRBO listing, and also the summer months at our home in Admiral's Cove near Coupeville in Washington state.
Maggie Stiles purchased this house in 2004
San Clemente is one of the five best Mediterranean climates in the world with the easy access to the beach, delightful ocean breezes, and charming small town environment with access to major entertainment venues within thirty to sixty minutes. The relaxed 'pier bowl' community where we live allows us to walk to restaurants, shops, stores and banks...a lovely way to live!
Relaxation is easy when sitting on one of the two front decks looking at the ocean and enjoying conversation with friends. Relaxation continues with a move to the private back patio where we enjoy viewing our lovely landscaped yard or playing croquet or bocce ball on the lush grass. It just doesn't get much better than this!
I really appreciate your attention to detail and the home was spotless! Thank you so much for that as it helped me feel more comfortable. Stephen (property mgr) was a big help and it was lovely to receive such a warm welcome from him. The Welcome Basket was a wonderful touch and I really enjoyed your library in the master bedroom. We will definitely be back again. Many blessings to you and your family!
Casa on Cazador was perfect for our family Christmas! With three large bedrooms and 3 baths, we were able to accommodate three families (6 adults and 2 young children) easily. The bedrooms were accessed through 2 different staircases which ensured that children were not disturbed during naps/bedtime while the adults continued to enjoy time together. Maggie made every accommodation we needed to enjoy our stay--including providing a new highchair for our 8 month old--and she responded to our multiple questions quickly. We frequently walked to the beach and pier--especially enjoying the amazing sunsets. We cooked most of our own meals in the well supplied kitchen and enjoyed eating on the balcony. There were lots of puzzles and games to occupy our evenings, and plenty of local attractions to fill our days. We have many, many wonderful memories of our time together at Casa on Cazador.
Amazing stay! Most well equipped rental we've ever stayed in and the property manager was amazing. Any small issue and he's be on site in less than an hour. Easy walk to the beach and shops too. We would love to come back again to San Clemente and stay at the casa cazador.
Our family had a memorable time at Casa on Cazador. We felt welcome right away with a tray of snacks and hand-written note greeting our arrival. Then we found the crossword puzzles, books, music, games...and we were set! There was plenty of room in the casa for the six adults and toddler in our family, with a the comfortable living room, 2 decks, patio, backyard grassy area, and spacious master suite. Thanks so much for the child-gates to keep our active grandson off the stairs! We all love to cook and really appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and staples provided. The walk to the beach was easy and quick, especially since the beach chairs had straps for carrying over the shoulder. This is just an example of the careful planning that has gone into providing guests with a comfortable stay at this beach house. We didn't eat out much, but enjoyed a delicious dinner at Los Patios, an out-of-the-way Mexican restaurant very close to "home." We also had great sandwiches (gluten-free and otherwise) and smoothies at the local spot, Captain Mauri's Counter Culture, on Avenida Del Mar. Then we checked out the Hobie Surf Shops next door. It was a very relaxing week and we intend to return to the Casa in the future. Thank you for offering this property for rental!
This was the PERFECT place for our family get together over Thanksgiving. Maggie had more beautiful serving dishes and tupperware than I have at home! Everything was top quality from the towels and bedding to the piano. This is a home, not just a place to sleep. The beach was a nice walk down through the canyon (the trail access is a little tricky but closeby) Master suite was super spacious and has it's own balcony. Other bedroom upstairs has nice bathroom close by. and the downstairs bedroom also has a close bathroom. The second living room in the back would be semi private for a bedroom if needed. The backyard was super fun for croquet and is bigger than it looks in the picture They also had a bocce ball set and lots of board games available. Also in the backyard is an outdoor shower for rinsing down sandy feet and salty wetsuits. Neighborhood was quiet and seemed upscale. The mini mart and downtown are walkable. Great views too! I will absolutely stay here again!
We want to thank you personally for the wonderful vacation we were able to enjoy in your home. Everyone enjoyed the layout of your home...we thought the design was very clever for renting to multiple families at one time. We were very grateful for the two king sized beds. We didn't have to 'draw straws' between my brother and his wife for the king sized bed which we have had to do for all the years we have shared vacations together. Your special touches were much appreciated, such as the welcome note and snack tray. Thank you for everything!
Our family truly enjoyed our stay at Casa on Cazador. It is a beautiful home with nice and comfortable furnishings. The three bedrooms are situated to give maximum privacy for everyone. It is apparent that great love and attention to detail went into this home. It was beyond our expectations! The neighborhood is lovely and quiet, and it is a short walk to a great beach, and to the quaint downtown. We highly recommend this property, and hope to enjoy it again someday ourselves.
