Enjoy the San Diego beach life while staying at this charming beach house. Centrally located in Crown Point it is a short walk to both Crown Point Shores on one side and Sail Bay on the other. Other attractions including Sea World, San Diego Zoo, and Old Town are just minutes away. This home is fully furnished and will sleep a larger family very comfortably. There is parking for two cars in the driveway, a two car garage, and ample street parking as well. I purchase this property because I wanted to live at the beach. I am a San Diego native and this is the first property I have owned in San Diego. I chose this location because of the easy access in and out of the area and the convenience to all the activities the beach area offers. At this location you are 99% closer to Sea World than anywhere else in Pacific or Mission Beach.

Cozy Mission Bay Home

We had an enjoyable time in San Diego and this home was perfectly located from just about everything you would want to see. I will have to say, the owner had VERY good communication with us and was quick to address things, as he lived nearby. He did a great job of making us feel comfortable about renting a house several thousand miles away and contacting us several times beforehand. Overall, it was a nice house and worked out well for our needs, and was a good price. We spent much of the last day in Mission Bay and wished we had spent more time right near the house. The bay is beautiful and the house is really close (just 2 blocks). Here is my total list of pros and cons:

Pros: Location, Owner communication, Owner communicating and handling any house problems Amenities, Proximity to the beach. Had kid amenities (pack n play, bunk beds, and the owner even purchased a stroller for the unit after we requested one). Lots of water play, wagons, and nice beach cruisers to use! Really nice gas fireplace and TVs, wifi, etc. Great outdoor seating. Appeared pet friendly (but we didn't have one).

Cons: No A/C kept it at times, warmer than we wanted. Not 100% kid friendly (the outside grounds are concrete and not level, trip/fall hazards for kids), some bugs outside, likely from the trash cans in the garage. Needed a few additional utensils and things. Coffee maker leaked (Owner was going to buy a new one after we mentioned it). There is a $200 cleaning fee, but not sure it gets cleaned by a professional cleaning crew. Was dirty in some areas. House is on a busy street.

We also wish we knew about the "June Gloom" because it was foggy just about every day. Next time we would go back in a month where it is sunny on the coast. But this is our own fault, not anything to do with the owner or house. Overall, it was a great experience and we enjoyed the home and he was great to work with. Thanks for a great time, hope this helps others!

Excellent location to San Diego's hot spots, house has everything you'd need for a big group!

House is located in a central hub to most of San Diego's amenities i.e. Midway museum, Sea World, the beaches, San Diego Zoo etc. This house is located near the beaches so you get nice cool air without the need of air conditioning. The house is loaded with everything you'd need for a family of 6 adults +5 kids. The property also has a backyard that would make great for outdoor entertainment, lunch/dinner: 2 tables, fire pit, enclosed. The owner also has a bunch of goodies in the garage for you to take advantage of San Diego beaches ie bikes, strollers, beach toys. Owner is very responsive to calls and very easy to communicate with, they know exactly what you'd need to make your stay as comfortable as it can be.

Felt Like home away from home

Kevins' Bungalow was well stocked with all the supplies we would need for a comfortable stay, such as towels, laundry soap and shower supplies. Kevin made us feel at home and was very helpful in explaining the parking situation. My grandchildren loved playing at the beach with the sand toys provided. There was plenty of room for our family to spend together. Will definitely plan this type of family vacation again in the future.

We loved the house...it's was perfect for our party of 10!

Kevin was awesome to work with and gave us great suggestions on where to go nearby for food and fun. Very friendly and helpful. The home was lovely and close by all of the activities we planned to do: airport, beach, USS Midway, Little Italy, SDSU campus, Coronado Island, and Seeport Village, and much more. We were in walking distance to a couple of restaurants and a fun pub. The house had a great floor plan for our party of 10 people to be together when we wanted and to have separate areas too. The patio was also a nice area to hangout and visit by fire pit. Anything we needed for the beach was provided: chairs, towels, boogie boards, surf board, umbrellas, wagon, and bikes. Those were very nice to have access to. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, dishes, silverware...just bring your drinks and food! Note: CA charges a $0.10 shopping bag fee per bag when you go to grocery store...We discovered after shopping that some previous guests had left reusable shopping bags in the pantry and garage to reuse and avoid this cost. Not a big expense but nice to know and it's environmentally friendly info. All of the other comments about the parking area and busy road in front of the house are accurate. We were able to park three mid size cars in driveway. We did not use the garage for parking although there is room. Getting in and out of the driveway was a little tricky with traffic, but we discovered it was all about timing with the red lights. Not an issue for our party. We loved the house and would definitely stay there again! We wish we would've had more time to stay and enjoy San Diego!

We had a great time here. The host was very responsive and easy to deal with. The house had everything we needed and more. Bikes, chairs, lawn games, etc. I would definitely recommend this host and this house!
