Queen Anne House Rental Photos and Description

House, 1 Bedroom + Den, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

Views! Views! and more Views!

If you want to feel like you are in a treehouse looking out toward Elliot Bay and the Olympic Mountains, this is definitely the place for you. This charming apartment with 900 sq.ft.of living space has breath-taking views of Puget Sound and a spacious deck that will make you feel like you are floating above the earth. The home is located on the upper floor of a distinctive 1908 Queen Anne home, with a lovely staircase leading up to your hideaway.

Location! Location! Location!

Queen Anne is one of Seattle's oldest and most popular neighborhoods. You'll be located on the southwest corner of Queen Anne Hill, with all of the city's happenings just beyond your front door. If you love to walk, there are tons of 'greenbelts' with stairways and walkways to explore the charming and diverse neighborhoods of Queen Anne. Within 5 blocks of the house in all directions you'll find Kerry Park, Kinear Park, Parson's Gardens, the Seattle Grind coffee shop, 10th West Cafe and stunning views to the south and west. 7 blocks gets you to the famous and delicious McCrina Bakery, worth every step, and friendly Ken's Market! 10 blocks gets you to Upper QA and the 'Avenue', home to many bars, restaurants, gourmet groceries, boutiques and more. If walking is not your thing, no worries, the bus stop is across the street from the house. You're within minutes of the Seatte Center & Space Needle, the Gates Foundation, Lake Union, Pikes Market, Downtown shopping and world class restaurants, the waterfront & ferries, the Sports Stadiums & Pioneer Square.

The Space!

As you enter this light filled space and step into the inviting living room, you will first be wowed by the views. Then you might notice the comfy sofa, the conversational side chairs, the table for four by the westernly view window, the 40' flat screen TV with a DVR, BluRay DVD player and a docking station/speaker system for your iPad, iPhone or iPod. Or you might just step from the living room right out onto the deck to breathe in the salty air and watch the ferries and sailboats or gaze at the sunset over the Olympic Mountains.

Or if you're tired from your travels, you may want to go into the large bedroom to put your things away in the huge walk-in closet and then rest on the queen Beautyrest, pillowtop bed.

When you get up, wander down the hall to the well-stocked kitchen. There you'll find glass and dinnerware, pots and pans, spices, oils, coffee beans, everything you need to cook a feast from the fresh items you'll buy at Pike Place Market.

Off the hall is quaint den with a Euro Lounger (that folds down to accommodate addtional guests in your party) and a desk where you can house your laptop and tend to all your wi-fi needs.

All the furniture and fixtures in this charming space were brand new in 2012, the walls were freshly painted and the coffee is always freshly ground. The owner is welcoming and only steps away to answer your questions and insure your stay is special.

So please come and enjoy the best views and location around!

Thank You!

About The Owner

I grew up in the Southeast and migrated west after college. When I landed here in Seattle in 1980, it felt like home. I love the mountains and the water and the Northwest has it all.

The Owner purchased this house in 1988

Why The Owner chose Northwest

Upon arriving in Seattle I rented the upstairs of this charming home for 7 years. In 1988 I bought the house from my Landlord and continued to live upstairs until my daughter was 2 when we moved downstairs. I then rented the upstairs space to long-term renters until this summer. We know how special the views and location are and felt we wanted to share it with visitors to Seattle. We have stayed in VRBO rentals in many places in the world during our travels and felt like this apartment is such a find in Seattle, that it would be a special place for visitors to experience this great city. We love Queen Anne and have never thought of living anywhere else in the City.

What makes this house unique

Besides the clear water and sunshine mountain views you get from this apartment, it is really exciting when the weather turns a bit stormy and you have a front row seat to watch the storm roll in from the south across the Sound.

We loved Linda's place! Walking distance to shops and the view was stellar! Linda was wonderful too!

Loved it and hope to return soon! Comfy bed, all amenities provided, special gifts awaited our arrival, and location was great. Linda was super helpful with local knowledge and how best to get around. The terrace was where we spent most of our time - wonderful place!

Perfect and Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed at this beautiful Queen Anne rental because we were looking for a great place located close to both the cruise ship and downtown Seattle. This place did not disappoint. The place is very easy to get to from the airport and then is an easy walk away from fantastic restaurants and the Space Needle. The place itself is very clean and comfortable. You also cannot possibly miss the awesome view of the Sound and Pier 91 from the back porch; just wow! And then there is the most amazing aspect of this rental: the owner. She is simply just the best. She is extremely easy to work with. She also provided my wife and I with everything we needed and even extras which were greatly appreciated. So, if you're out there looking for the perfect place with an amazing owner to rent from, this is your place.

It is the most fabulous place imaginable!

  • 5 of 5

This was a fantastic VRBO experience - Our host was in touch with us before we arrived and during our stay with all the information we needed - She was extremely accommodating and so nice to talk to - It was hard to believe our apartment was going to be as spectacular as was advertised on the VRBO website but it was! It was clean, roomy, well supplied with towels, blankets, pillows and everything you could need in the kitchen and it had an incredible view from the living room of Elliott Bay and an incredible deck with an unobstructed view of the Bay - We saw ships come in to dock and beautiful sunsets every night - We never went out to eat because we wanted to eat on the deck at sunset! The Queen Anne neighborhood that the rental is in is great and very near downtown by bus and even by walking - Kerry Park at the top of Queen Anne has an amazing view of downtown Seattle, the Space Needle and Mount Rainier - The houses and landscaping are great to look at when you're walking around - there are wonderful shops, restaurants, a good bookstore and a Trader Joe's where we got groceries - We HIGHLY recommend this rental - I can't think of a single way it could be better!

Amazing view, lovely, comfortable and homey apartment!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from 6 nights in Linda's wonderful upstairs apartment. When you open the door to the deck, it is just stunning- view of Elliot Bay takes your breath away. The apartment has a roomy master bedroom with a large closet. The living room is cozy with a large TV and of course the deck! The kitchen is across the apartment and well equipped. Bathroom is large. There is a smaller second bedroom. The location is near the center of the action in the Queen Anne neighborhood but a long walk, we drove for dinner most nights. There is a downtown bus stop across the street. The apartment is a 15 minute drive to Lake Union or central Seattle. Traffic can be very slow at rush hours. Linda is a gem, kind and informative. Her darling little dog, Tristan, greeted us daily with a quiet wag. Felt very welcome and Linda is available for any questions. She directed us to several restaurants and places to visit. Great trip!

Owner's Response: Thanks Ellen & Dave. It was great meeting you both and chatting about all your outings while visiting Seattle. You really took advantage of all the beautiful NW has to offer. I hope you had an easy travel day heading back east and that we'll meet again! Linda

Exceeded our expectations. This place was perfect for our needs!!

  • 5 of 5

I was excited to stay in this Queen Anne flat, but am not familiar with the Seattle area, and took a leap of faith when I booked this property with VRBO. I could not have made a better choice for our family of three!

The property is charming, quaint, and full of character. The futon was already converted to a bed and made up for my son prior to our arrival. There was a bottle of wine, seltzer water, and chocolate waiting for us on the table. The property was clean, nicely furnished, and had plenty of space. As advertised, the view was absolutely amazing. I took about 50 pictures of it, because every time I stepped on the outside balcony it took my breath away! It was relaxing to watch the sunset, as well as the sailboats, ferries, cargo ships, and cruise ships. The house had everything we needed + more (kitchen items, bath items, books, games), and I considered it cozy vs sterile. I took advantage of the washer / dryer toward the end of our stay, which was an added bonus.

The location of the property was perfect. Another reviewer said there is nothing in walking distance, but I disagree (it obviously depends on how far you want to walk). We walked about 10 blocks (maybe a mile one way?) to the Queen Anne district on 2 occasions - once to hit Trader Joe's & once for dinner. It was a pleasant walk through a neighborhood of charming homes, and the main street has plenty of restaurants & shops to explore. We also walked to a nearby playground & a cafe a few blocks away (Tenth West). As advertised, the bus stop was directly across the street. We paid $5 for the three of us to take the bus downtown to the Public Market. We also used Uber several times to reach our more distant destinations.

Linda was an amazing host and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable (we quite enjoyed her dog, Tristan, as well!). The icing on the cake was when she offered to drive us to the Clipper Terminal on the day of our departure. We took her up on the offer and were very grateful.

It is without ANY hesitation that I would HIGHLY recommend this property for your stay in Seattle!

Thank you, Linda, for contributing to our fond memories of Seattle!

Owner's Response: Suzanne, I'm so glad you enjoyed your time in Seattle and the Queen Anne neighborhood. It was lovely meeting your family and I hope you had a fun time on San Juan Island and that your son got to see some Orcas. You were great guests and I was happy to be able to give you a lift to the Clipper ferry. Hope to see you again. Linda

Excellent home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

This flat nestled conveniently in the Queen Anne neighborhood was perfect for my family and I... Couldn't have asked for a better first experience with VRBO. With all the amenities we could have ever wanted, the owner went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The panoramic view of Elliot Bay from the back deck and living room was truly spectacular!
