This apartment in very conveniently located right by Union Square which is in very close proximity to the Subway and within walking distance to many of the main attractions in Manhattan. It was a very easy check-in to get the keys, and everything about the apartment was perfect. The bed was comfortable, there was plenty of living space, and the shower always had warm water and enough pressure. There was some street noise, which is to be expected. We put the AC on at night which really drowned out the noise. We really appreciated being able to leave our suitcases in the apartment as we had an evening flight. It was not a problem for us to return to pick the bags up and get on the Subway to head to JFK. I would highly recommend booking this VRBO, it will contribute to an amazing trip to NYC.
As it turns out I only spent one night in this cute place. I was initially going to be there for 4 days prior to a surgery I had scheduled. But when things got worse for my health I realized that a mini vacation in NYC was a pipe dream. So I called Lara, the property manager and did the thing everyone can- ask for what they need. I asked her if it would be at all possible to move my dates a few days forward so that my parents could stay there while I was at the hospital. I was shocked when she said yes. She even called to see how I was doing the morning of the surgery. I spent the night prior to my surgery there and although I can't give a full report on how every appliance works, I can say that if you are looking for something simple as a home base in NYC, much more affordable and just as nice as any equivalent hotel room, this is your place. It is steps from Union square and the NYU area which is tons of fun. Union square has a main subway line for access to the rest of the city, and although you do get noise on a ground floor apartment in NYC, a pair of earplugs fix that issue. Thanks Lara for easing my surgery and helping my family out!
Great place and centrally located.
Firstly people should know that the address is not given until the night before......this caused me a little confusion with trying to preorganize travel plans. Also took a while to receive a second key......ask for this before hand. The apartment caretaker wasn't very friendly.....actually quite abrupt.
Here's the fantastic part.....this studio apartment is in an excellent location......it's clean and very well equipped......we loved it and would go back in a heartbeat!
The flat was as described and met all of our needs, tidy and clean. Many amenities in the surrounding area, with quick access to public transportation. While there was minor miscommunication, owner and property manager promptly met our needs.
