About Charleen

Growing up in Connecticut I had the opportunity to spend many summers with my family vacationing at Cape Cod. Each one being more memorable than the previous. Whether it was an outing of mini golf, an evening meal by the ocean as the sunsets, or fishing for stripers at the break of dawn, each activity was a treasured moment in time.

Charleen purchased this cottage in 2013

Why Charleen chose Falmouth

Upon vacationing to multiple areas on Cape Cod, Falmouth was the area which I truly fell in love with. Having the quaint feel of a historic downtown along with the many amenities of travel by bike, ferry, or foot...made for the quintessential vacation place.

Purchasing the property I was able to renovate with TLC and create a little piece of 'seaside heaven'.

What makes this cottage unique

Our home being nestled between 2 ponds 'Salt Pond' and 'Siders Pond' give a feel of quiet tranquility. If seated quietly in the Adirondack chairs in the backyard one can enjoy the variety of birds who reside at the Salt Pond Bird Sanctuary nearby.

The convenience of a wide variety of activities to suit your mood whether it's biking on the path, strolling through the town, or taking a 30 minute ride to Martha's Vineyard or 2 hour ride to Nantucket...walking the beach at sunset or the foghorn lulling you to sleep.. these are properties unique treasures..

New York, New York

Very comfortable charming "Cae Cod Cottage" with everything a guest needs.

  • 5 of 5

Very comfortable cottage in fine location in Falmouth. We chose this rental for our party of 4 coming to attend a wedding on the Cape. Though illness prevented our entire party from attending, two of us did stay in the cottage, which is located near all the wedding venues: ceremony on Saturday, September 10th in Falmouth, followed by reception in Pocasset, Saturday afternoon & evening, and a Sunday morning brunch in at The Pickle Jar Restaurant on Main Street in Falmouth. The fact that the cottage has no stairs & a walk in shower was important for me, because I suffer from sciatica. Owner Charleen was very helpful, providing us with an emailed Welcome Book in advance and guiding us by phone to find the cottage in the dark on Friday evening after traffic stretched our trip from NYC to Falmouth into a 9- hour ordeal. We found the cottage prepared with everything we could need. It was very easy for us to go by car to each place where the wedding events were taking place. Each time we came back to the cottage, we were able to relax.

Great location! A true taste of the cape!

  • 5 of 5

We choose the house because of its proximity to the Shining Sea bike path but found ourselves also enjoying walks to the beach and town everyday. The house and property are very clean and well care for... Even down to the small gardens in the yard. We absolutely loved this home and would recommend it to anyone!

Excellent family getaway

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for 5 days and it was beautiful. The house is well kept and the owners are excellent and very receptive to needs of the guest.

The house is very cute and cozy. It was a little chilly and windy to have a great beach day. But if you visit later in the season you can enjoy the beach that is a 5 minute walk.

We were with a 3 yr old child and a booster chair was available; the garden around the house is a beautiful place for families with children to enjoy a relaxed afternoon.

We also took the ferry to Martha's Vineyard which is again close to where we were located.

Falmouth is a great place for family vacation and this property is a hidden jewel in this area. I would highly recommend it.

Quaint, cute cottage

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is well maintained and gives a cozy feeling. The interiors were decorated with an artistic touch. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, still close to the beach. Shopping areas and downtown was within a reasonable distance. Just a couple of miles from the ferry to M. Vineyard. The fridge was stocked with essential items as soon as you reach. To top it all, the cottage is priced correctly and is affordable. I am looking forward to stay here again this year.
