Beautiful clean and spacious apartment with private outdoor porch, 3 bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths, laundry, cable TV, WIFI, central heat/air conditioning, and off street parking in a secure garage. Our place is fully equipped for your stay & within walking distance to the coolest neighborhoods in Buffalo!

The space available is a two-story apartment that is approximately 1200 square feet in size. Beds provided are one queen bed, one double, and a trundle bed that pulls out into two twins. There is also a full size futon that can sleep two. The apartment has a beautiful 2nd floor private porch which is amazing during the summer months. Laundry is located in the basement. Towels and all bedding provided. Kitchen has microwave, gas stove, large fridge with ice maker, toaster, coffee maker, and dishwasher. We provide coffee, tea, and sugar for your first morning - if you require other foods, there are four grocery stores within a 2-3 mile radius of the apartment.

Guests enter the private apartment through an entrance that is shared with the downstairs apartment, which is also a short-term rental. Guests have access to the entire apartment, front porch, basement laundry, and backyard area with fire pit, hammocks and grill. There is also one garage space available for guests, and additional parking is usually not a problem on our residential street. The apartment is a second floor walk-up, no elevator available.

We live next door and are always around to talk to guests about our city and give recommendations for places to go, restaurants, etc. We own 8 houses on the street, and our tenants and neighbors are very friendly. You will find the "17th Street Commune" - as we call it - to be very fun and inviting!

About Becky Powell

I'm a lawyer and property investor in the City of Buffalo. Although I'm originally from Georgia, I've called Buffalo home for 25 years. I own multiple homes on one street in the city and my partner Carl and I have worked since 2010 to make them beautiful. Our goal was to provide wonderful places for people to live and to create a community in our little part of the world. We want to share it, and our awesome city, with people who want to come visit us.

I love to travel myself, although I stay a little too busy to do it a lot. By having visitors from around the world, I can experience one of the best parts of traveling - meeting cool people - without leaving home!

Our house is near an area called the Elmwood Strip, you can walk there from the apartment in about 5 minutes and then walk for about a mile up Elmwood Avenue where there are various restaurants, shops, bars, etc. At the end of the Strip there are three wonderful museums, the Burchfield Penney Art Center (features WNY art), the Historical Museum (featuring all kinds of Buffalo history), and the Albright Knox Art Gallery (has a world-class modern art collection). We are also 20 miles from Niagara Falls and 7 miles from the Buffalo Niagara Airport.

So warm and welcoming!!!!

The house is beautiful!!!! It was so warm and welcoming. It felt like we were staying in a home that belonged to a family member or close friend. Everything was clean, kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc. And the bathroom was stocked with fresh clean towels! When I come back to Niagara, I will be staying here again!!!

Buffalo

We had a great time,enjoyed the place, quiet neighbor hood. The only thing we wished there would have been more information on the parking arrangements, being from the Midwest a lot of us drive trucks. We had a GMC Canyon which is like a midsize truck. It would not fit in the garage. The streets.are really narrow. So take a car or a SUV. Thanks

As advertised. Nice place. Great location. Great value.

There were few places I could find within the city to accommodate a large group. I rented both upper and lower units for a small reunion. The place is as advertised, clean, comfortable. A request to change the setting for heat/air conditioning was no problem. Plenty of parking on the street. This is on the "edge" of Elmwood Village, but a very nice street. (I'm local, and I have noticed this area is definitely on the upswing.) We found the upstairs front room was great for gathering in the evening for socializing. The downstairs dining table was a gathering spot for breakfast. We cleaned up before we left, and our deposit was promptly returned. I would definitely rent either or both units again.

Perfect location and well worth the money!

I thoroughly enjoyed staying here while in Buffalo with my family. It was in great proximity to Niagara and a short drive over to the Canadian border. The home is set up with everything one would need for a comfortable stay. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us!
