Artist loft in Quebec City trendy Nouvo Saint-roch area. Pure lines, spacious, very high ceiling uber inspiring place to live downtown charming Quebec City. A few steps from Plaines d'Abraham and St-Joseph trendy street. Your own parking available.
I like big spaces but it's a city loft so I made sure not to overload the place and keep the pure lines. It's white, pure, minimalist. I often hear it's a place that breath, it makes one's feel serene. Since this place is also used as a creative studio, there are huge mirrors over the walls which gives this feeling of endless space even more.
You have access to a private parking which is definitely a big plus in downtown Quebec city during popular and touristic summer season or during snowy winter. Wifi internet, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, air con, bathtub/shower. Cookwares, linens, towels, umbrellas, kettle, moka coffee machine
The loft is located in trendy Nouvo Saint-Roch area, which is downtown Quebec city, a few meters away you find a fine grocery store, a caffe/bar with thematic evenings (swing dance, music etc. ) Commercial St-Joseph street with all the boutiques, coffee shops, restaurants, gym, yoga studios, art galleries, supermarket is a few blocks away. If you are sporty and want to run to discover the city, well you are the right place! Quebec city is full of stairs and you have direct access to exercise your legs till uptown on the 'Plaines D'Abraham' the biggest park of the oldest city in North America. I'll leave you all the information on everything around in the loft.
The 'Chateau Frontenac and old city is also at walkable distance so bring your shoes and enjoy ;)
The best way to discover Quebec city is to walk, it's a peaceful, very safe at anytime of the day or night city to walk. Alternatively, there are bus stops in the area to bring you everywhere you want thus Quebec City is not a tram/subway/bus friendly city. If you have a car, you can have it rest in the private parking behind the building, you have a direct access with the rear door key.
-No TV!: TV lovers, you are not watching the right place to stay in, :) But the fast Internet connection will respond to everyone's need for streaming
If you haven't noticed, I care about details and cleanliness, I expect my guests to do the same, it goes without saying. It is a very quiet building and living community so I kindly ask you to keep voices low in the corridors and respect the neighbours.
The loft is a No-shoes area, there is a little mat to place your shoes when you get in. It is also smoke and pet free.
From the very beginning, the owner was incredibly helpful and accommodating. My payment was initially declined because I was booking in another country. I explained the situation and she held the apartment until I got everything straightened out with my bank. Upon arrival, everything was neat and clean. The apartment is small, but uses the space very well. My husband and I spent 5 weeks in the apartment and never felt uncomfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware and there was enough paper products and toiletries to get us through the first night until we were able to go shopping the next day. We had one issue with the internet connectivity, and the owner immediately resolved it even though she was out of the country. Overall, I would recommend this apartment to a single person or a married couple. It is within walking distance of all the major areas of Quebec City and right next to a bus stop if you need to make a longer trip. The private parking space was also a huge bonus!
