We live in Alaska and love to travel to Mexico during the winter months.
Bobbi Jo purchased this villa in 2005
We love the area and the historic town of Loreto for it's restaurants, shopping and authentic charm
relaxing by the pool, driving to Loreto for fine dining
This was our third winter in Loreto. That should say it all.Our Villa was great. The beds and bedding were very comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and it was located in a perfect spot. We were within a five minute walk to the beach and all three pools. The property managers were great people and very accommodating. We had a opportunity to meet the owners Jackie and Toni. They were super nice and wish we would have had more time to spend with them.
We would definitely recommend this rental Villa.
The house was clean upon our arrival and had many comforts of home. Air-conditioning, full kitchen, cable TV and three King size beds with each bedroom having it's own bathroom. The house is walking distance to the beach, coffee shop and wine bar but set back from the street so it's in a quiet location. Parking has changed since the last time I was there. Larger vehicles are to park in the east side of the street and smaller cars are to park on the west side. We had a Suburban. We purchased a parking pass ($15) from the Baja Boss property manger for the week to park in the dirt at the south end of the houses. Nopolo is about a 10 min drive south of Loreto and 8 min south of the airport. A few restaurant standouts were. El Corazon (coffee), and Wine Bar. If you are looking for a nice relaxing get away, for fishing, golfing, snorkeling, and a kayaking destination, Loreto is the place. My wife and I brought our kids, 5,6, and 8 and felt very comfortable while in Loreto. The people are friendly and Loreto is very clean.
We spent one month here and enjoyed every day. The home is lovely, comfortable, clean, and well-equipped -- with lots of space and privacy.
Loreto Bay village is very well maintained, safe, quiet and friendly, and there is a lot to do:
We enjoyed the lap pool, and our visiting granddaughters loved the community pool. The golf course was great: $130 for a week of unlimited golf, free hand cart, and golf bag storage at night. Kayak and paddle board rentals were easy to arrange at the beach. Nearby there was charter fishing (very successful!), a boat trip to Coronado Island, a trip to the west coast to see (& touch) the gray whales, a drive into the mountains to San Javier, exploration of the town of Loreto, and more.
A great place to escape winter!
We stayed here for 2 weeks and completely enjoyed this home and Loreto. House can easily manage 3 couples and the upstairs patio provides several "areas" to read, sunbathe, grill dinner and have a drink. Everything "worked", and Julio, the concierge, was extremely prompt and helpful with groceries, scheduling outings, and answering questions. The golf course is funky yet beautiful, we walked the back nine almost everyday. The lap pool is close by and of course, the beach a short walk away. Strongly recommend a panga trip to one of the islands for white sand beaches and snorkeling.
Bobbi Jo, the owner is prompt and helpful. All in all, just a great place to stay.
Our family had a great stay over the Christmas holiday here. Clean, spacious, open, and comfortable and so close to the ocean. We loved swimming laps at the close pool and taking long walks on the beach. Sunrise up on the rocky cliff adjacent to the golf course was stupendous! What a place to sit and wait for the sun to rise on the world across the Sea of Cortez. Renting pangas for day trips to the beaches for snorkeling and to see the dolphins and sea life was also a great highlight and easy to arrange at the wharf in Loreto. We had cozy fires in the little chiminea on the deck at night. Popping into Loreto for groceries or dinner at a restaurant was easy. Having a rental car was convenient for getting around but you would be fine with taking taxis as well.
This was our 3rd time renting a village home in Loreto Bay, and it's definitely our favorite! We really enjoyed this bright and sunny home that's in a great location in the village. The lap pool and beach are a short walk, and the 2nd floor terrace is a relaxing place to enjoy a view of the mountains. The home is clean and well appointed, and we loved the comfortable beds with down duvets. The home has Internet service that was reliable and enabled us to use our tablets and phones without using data. The layout of the home is nice for multiple couples or a family with children. There are 2 bedrooms and 2 baths downstairs and a 3rd bedroom and bath upstairs off the 2nd floor terrace. The terrace has an area with a pergola that provides shade as well as a BBQ grill. When you enter the home, it's into a central bougainvilla-filled courtyard with a fountain that fills the home with a relaxing sound. Loreto Bay is a quiet and relaxing place to unwind with walks on the beach. The airport is a close 10-15 min. ride away. The town of Loreto is also close by and it's very safe and the people friendly. From now on, this is the home we will rent!
