We are Fly fisherman, love the Kenai & its opportunity to catch world class fish as well as challenge ourselves to fish many rivers for diversity of species. We love to cook, and enjoy wildlife on and around the river.
Bruce purchased this house in 2011
We searched for this ideal piece of property for over 8 years. Unbelievably unique and we are thrilled to have found it!
The peace and tranquility of stepping away from a busy life with luxury amenities in stunning nature is fantastic.
We stayed at the bunkhouse for 4 nights in late August & can’t speak highly enough about the home. It was perfect in every way & lives up to the photos & property description. Bruce couldn’t have been a more welcoming owner, & Danette & Adam were also wonderful & very helpful with questions we had about the area. We will be back during our next trip to the Kenai.
Our family stayed for four nights in July, and didn't want to leave. ( Best house of the 4 rented on our trip across Alaska) The house and it's view were amazing! Everything was new, and clean. Had the best meal of our trip, thanks to Bruce. Thank you, The Pohl and Jarema Family
Probably the best equipped rental we ever stayed at. Beautiful home and setting. The hosts, Adam and Danette are also wonderful, and Adam can guide for a great river fishing experience.
We stayed here over the long weekend of July 4th and were extremely happy with our stay. The beds were really comfortable and the rooms gave us plenty of privacy (we were 2 couples). The house is in a great location with many awesome adventures nearby (hiking, fishing, rafting, etc). The location in Cooper Landing is also strategic for day trips north, south, and west. The property manager was really helpful and gave us great recommendations for where to hike and eat.
We didn't use the kitchen or use any of the entertainment in the house as we were gone for 14+ hours each day. We'd recommend this place to anyone!
Our family of five loved staying in the "Bunk House" for a weeklong stay in Cooper Landing. The pictures simply don't do the house justice...it's soooooo much nicer in person! :-) As others have stated, the beds are VERY comfortable, and the kitchen is a dream to cook in. We grilled our salmon on the great porch with views of the Kenai River running past. The bathrooms were very spacious, although it might be easy to miss the 1st floor bathroom (take note!). Of course, we also loved having the washer/dryer to use (huge capacity), and really enjoyed the collection of DVDs and CDs (great taste!). A few notes: the beds are all twins, except for one room with a double and twin. Also: there is NO wifi, and the cell service coverage is dismal (I couldn't get any internet connection from my phone, although I could text and call). We ended up driving up to the Princess Lodge (5 mins away) each day for about an hour to use their free wifi to check on email, Facebook, etc. and it was nice to be internet-free anyway!!!! ;-) Thanks to the very sweet and helpful Danette and Adam, our caretakers, who were awesome, too. (Adam is a fishing guide and you can book with him, or he will help you arrange for a tour with the best guides in town.)
This is an awesome 4 bedroom house. 1 full-bath downstairs on garage level and the remainder of all living space upstairs. There are 2 built-in twin-beds in 3 of the bedrooms and the other bedroom has a twin and I think a queen, but it could have been a full sized bed. Open concept with a huge kitchen. Comfy furniture and beds. Awesome linen. Huge walk-in shower. High end house just a few feet from the Kenai river and a direct view of the mountains across the river. There is a single car attached garage for your use. Extra large capacity washer and drier on garage level. The caretakers, Adam and Danette, were more than helpful. Owners were on property during our stay and were extremely nice and concerned we were getting all the help we need. The only thing that could have made the stay better was a little more water pressure....which was truly no big deal! A great place to stay and will stay again if I get the chance!!!!!!!
