Lovely setting

  • 4 of 5

The views and surroundings of this cabin are gorgeous. We had a very enjoyable stay. It was very clean and well supplied. They had even added some holiday decorations to enhance the festive mood. We had fun sitting in the hot tub and playing pool. The cable and internet worked well.

I would say for safety reasons that you should not choose this cabin if there is any hint of rain or ice or if you have any issues with brakes or transmission on your vehicle. The driveway is VERY steep, but that is what gives the lovely view, so just be forewarned.

We had one minor issue with the electrical plug in the bathroom and it was somewhat annoying to be accused of having gotten water in the plug to cause the breaker to flip. The sink in the bathroom was very deep so there is no way that water splashed from the sink into the plug. However, the issue was quickly resolved.

The only other comment we had is that while the hot tub has a beautiful view and was clean and very much appreciated, it is situated very close to the downstairs bedrooms and the noise of the heater and pump cycling during the night could be a disturbance. Bring earplugs.

Welcome Home

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved this cabin. It's cute and cozy with high ceilings and an open floor plan in the front that keeps it from feeling small and cramped. The cabin just welcomes you with open arms and feels like you've arrived home when you walk in. It was exceptionally clean, with well sealed windows and doors to keep out drafts and critters. While we didn't actually encounter any, we could hear the turkeys down in the valley below which was fun for me. This cabin was fully stocked with all the dishes and utensils we needed, not just 2 or 3 plates and a couple of cups. There was no lack of necessities as far as the kitchen goes, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, so it was really nice not needing to bring extra things or to go without. The bathroom was fully stocked with plenty of fresh bath towels, finger towels and wash cloths - and the full size washer and dryer just across the hall provided extra convenience of being able to wash our laundry before packing up and heading home. While we didn't try the queen bed, the king bed in the master was wonderfully comfortable and a great sleeper. We enjoyed several nights in the hot tub watching the moon rise over the ridge as we happened to book our trip for the full moon. On the day we arrived we were greeted by a beautiful rainbow that stretched across the valley, which seems to be a common thing for this area, so don't miss them!! The side and hot tub deck views offer an amazing mix of weather and nature as the trees cascade up and down the mountains while the tendrils of fog move between the ridges through the valley. With the right weather conditions in a matter of a few minutes you can go from seeing trees and tiny fingers of smoke to not seeing any mountains at all, which was wonderfully surreal.

Shortly after we arrived Donnalee came and met us and went over some more useful details about the cabin and answered any questions we had. She also gave us some tips on getting in and out on the twisty roads that lead to this spectacular location. Additionally she had tips for getting up the driveway, as the terrible freeze this winter destroyed what was once previously paved. She's keeping it graded with gravel until the weather's right for more pave work. If you're scared of gravel, bring your truck/SUV, but we didn't have any issues in my little sedan and it certainly makes for a better ride through the curves up the mountain.

We absolutely loved this little cabin and cannot wait to return!

Great house for a small family.

  • 5 of 5

House was exactly as described and pictured. It was very clean upon arrival. The owner called on arrival day to make sure everything was ok with the house. Two bedrooms were comfortable. The loft with futon was perfect as a separate sleeping area for a child. We used the pool table and hot tub and both were in good condition. Living room seating was enough for four people and quite comfy. The drive to the cabin was only a few minutes from the main road in Pigeon Forge. The road to the cabin was curvy and the driveway to the house is steep but we visited in April so the roads were fine. Very good cabin for a family of 4. We brought our dog along which is always a plus for a cabin. I would stay here again and would also recommend it to family.

Spectacular cabin....Glad we came!

  • 5 of 5

What can I say....Papa bear was wonderful....My son and I had a great time. Cabin was exceptionally clean, had everything in that we needed. Hot tub, pool table, games. and great comforts. Even the owners called and asked how everything was which made our stay even more personable. Accommodations were super, comfy beds and internet, and super deck view of the Great Smoky Mountains.

We plan to book this cabin again in the spring.

Thanks for the good times!
