Nice little getaway but lacking in some respects

  • 3 of 5

The home was clean and in good working order but wasn’t the most cozy. The living room has tremendous potential but there is only one couch to sit on other than two wicker chairs which would be better served as porch furniture. The TV stand is broken as there are two screws missing from the base - had to prop it up to make it level. The beds are both very firm and to us were very uncomfortable. I understand that preferences vary but if both mattresses are going to be the same firmness there should be a removable mattress topper that renters can use if desired. The hot tub was wonderful and we saw many shooting stars! Location wasn’t bad at all - pretty close to town but pleasantly isolated. Overall, not a bad stay but would definitely recommend addressing the bed and living room.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to let us know about the issues that arose during your trip. We take feedback from our guests very seriously, and we are looking into how best to address this problem. In regards to the mattresses, we'd like to make future guests aware that they are about one year old and are Beautyrest Pillow Top, at about a medium firmness. We're sorry your stay fell short of expectations, and we assure you we’ll do everything we can to make sure future guests are satisfied. Best, The Evolve Team

Quaint and homey. Everything you need

  • 5 of 5

Tucked away in the hills surrounding Mt Mitchell, the Cuddles Cottage provides easy access to both wilderness adventure and explore Asheville and the Biltmore. The cottage provided all the amenities in comfort in a beautiful country setting. The hot tub and recently renovated bathroom were particularly nice. This is a great place for a small family or two couples ready to retreat to everything western NC has to offer.

Great home base

  • 4 of 5

Great place to stay if you're looking for a home base for exploring! About 30 minutes from downtown Asheville, close to various hiking spots (waterfalls, views, family hikes, etc), dog friendly, and everything was in working condition! Great basic house with all the amenities! I do wish the lawn was mowed prior to our arrival, as it made walking/cleaning up after the dog a little more difficult. Also utilized the book and ate at a recommended restaurant in Weaverville and loved it! Thanks!!!

Beautiful cottage

  • 5 of 5

When I got to the cottage it was an easy check in as the code was given to me to access the front door. The inside is beautiful and has cooking stuff, laundry items, and higene products. The back porch has a nice hot tub and a sitting area. The road is down a "no outlet" road so the only drivers are ones who reside there. With that being said I do feel as though some of the neighbors do not like the fact that the cottage is a rental property. The neighbors were nice though just kept looking over at me when I was outside. Over all the cottage is beautiful with an amazing view of the mountains. Nothing delivers and you really are out in the middle of nowhere which I liked but come prepared.
