Nice little place off the beaten path. Great for getting away and having some a lone time. All the amenities needed for a quiet, relaxing stay.
Overall the cottage was ok. When we got there the place was 99 degrees and it was so hot the entire place was hot to touch...literally. Seemed like someone had set the thermastat to the wrong setting. Had to open all the windows, put the air on and air outside for a little bit. There were a lot of dead bugs (and live ones) lady bugs, stink bugs and about a hundred dead yellow jackets in the one window. Luckily bugs don't really bother me, just probably would be better without them! Gives the impression thing could be cleaner/more tidy. Other than those things, the beds were comfy, jacuzzi was clean and good directions and info for things to do around the area!
Very cute cottage my dog enjoyed the big yard and we explored the road past the house with the dog a few times and it was interesting. The check-out time was a tad bit early would be my only complain.
We had to emergently travel to NC from CO for a very stressful situation for our family. The owners were very accommodating in letting us stay and make our reservation last minute. My husband and I were wanting a nice peaceful place to be able to come back to and escape from our family emergency. That is exactly what the cuddle cottage provided us with. The beds were comfortable, the hot tub was relaxing and it felt like we were able to come home every night even though we were 1500 miles from home.
Very late in doing this review since were there in March for spring break but had to get it done. At first I thought the cabin was a bit far from the action in Asheville but i was wrong. its far enough away to be a nice, quiet retreat from the bustle of the world but close enough to be convenient to the action. perfect. We used the fire pit 2 of our nights and enjoyed the wine that greeted us when we arrived. The hot tub had a leak and wasn't operable for a few days of our visit but the owner had it fixed the day after we called (we called in the evening). even though it had been refilled it was too cold to use for another day and the owner offered a partial credit for the time it wasn't usable, which I thought was very fair and we didn't have to ask ask, he offered as well as apologized for the inconvenience. that reason alone should give you confidence in the quality of this nice little cabin.
My wife and daughter loved it, especially being next to the stream. The beds were comfortable, everything in the house worked, there were games to play and best of all, it was quiet with no cell service to speak of. Verizon worked intermittently and ATT was non existent (as usual in rural areas.) we rent a lot of condos and cabins in the spring and fall for breaks and this was one of the best. We used it as a base to explore Asheville: the Biltmore, Blue Ridge parkway, the arts district, and lots of hiking. returning to the cabin for dinner, a campfire and a glass of wine as the sun set and the evening chill set in was an awesome way to relax. Highly recommended.
Vacationed here for 4 nights with wife, toddler and dog, had a great time! Very peaceful setting, and nice amenities. I'd recommend looking for firewood long before you get there though, we couldn't find any stores nearby selling it. There was a bit of an ant problem in the kitchen, but was manageable. It was great of them to leave a bottle of wine, and they had a nice homemade tour book available too. The wi-fi worked great, despite not having cell service. Great location for getting to the Pisgah entrance at Big Ivy for hiking.
