After a few small mishaps (no real fault of the owners), our week long stay at Fawn Lake was truly magical! The owners response time is immediate and they were always quick to remedy anything or answer anything. True customer service.
They have thought of everything here (including a tetherball court!) and it was comfortable and spacious enough for 6-8 people at any one time.
We appreciated all the perks of this stunning home and we hope to be back next summer. If you have small children it is fantastic because the lake is super shallow and you while away your time by the water...
Thank you Norm and Anthony!
There were a few issues buthat they were resolved quickly and efficiently. Otherwise the house was great for our family and for the weekend.
location location and location!!! cottage was just as expected but better in life. They provide all you need to have a great time inside out. No disappointments here!!! Just stunning, breath taking, fantastic!!! Extra bonus the owners are awesome down to earth people!!!
Very clean, uncluttered and bright cottage with many amenities including a nice fire pit with benches, large deck with plenty of chairs, close small beach with canoe, kayaks and paddle boards.
Cottage shows exactly the way it looks in the pictures. No bad surprises!
There is a steep incline and a few stairs to get to the front door but this allows the deck to offer such a nice view of the lake.
We had an awsome time at the Muskoka Hillside Cottage on Fawn Lake, and we are probably going to come back next year.
The house is great. The kitchen was wonderful for our family and the sleeping quarters were very comfortable and not cramped at all.
Both bathrooms are wonderful with good water pressure from the showers.
With young children who mess up their clothes often, the laundry facilities were greatly appreciated.
The beach and lake are great. The canoe, kayaks and SUP boards were enjoyed by everyone.
There are a few things that could be improved.
The steepness of the driveway wasn’t well represented in the pictures and was troublesome for my elderly parents.
The BBQ was left in an unusable condition, and even once I cleaned it and did some minor repairs, it was barely usable. I had to fix the diffusers as they were bent and have not been cleaned in a very long time as they caught fire with all the left over grease on them.
Some of the furniture needs attention. Many of the chairs in the kitchen and dining area have had the foot rests come off and not be replaced. This makes them very wobbly and unusable for fear that they will break when one is sitting on them. Also, some of the accent tables, most notably the coffee table in the upstairs hallway need to have screws tightened as they are wobbly and feel like they make break soon if not fixed.
Lastly, having access to the area under the deck from the staircase would be a welcome improvement as the only ways to get there currently are to either go all the way to the bottom of the stairs and walk back up the rocks, or duck under the stairs walking down from the top, neither of which are very graceful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage. There was plenty of activities to keep everyone busy from kayaking/canoeing to ziplining, bon fires to an aerial adventure, rock climbing to go car racing. But the best part was sitting in front of the gorgeous lake and watching the sunset.
The owner was very professional and accommodating. He made sure we were very comfortable and had everything we required. This is an extremely clean and beautiful cottage. I would highly recommend it. A++++
