We are both born and raised right here in Montana, and love it! Christopher is a custom builder and has built this home as well as building our next home. Keshia has spent years as a server, at the local delicious restaurant-Glacier Grill & Pizza here in Coram. We have 4 beautiful children, Noeley(6), Harper(5), Kingston(3), and Deacon(1). We are both born and raised in the Flathead and enjoy raising our children here and running our businesses together, Glacier Highline-Aerial Adventure Park, Fisher's Of Men Construction company, and our vacation rental business.
We construsted this beautiful cabin completely from the groundwork on up by ourselves in 2008.We had our own band sawmill and milled all our own lumber, trim, etc. Which you will see all throughout the house. We enjoy camping, hunting, spending time with our large families, and serving the Lord.
Keshia Fisher purchased this cabin in 2008
We are both born and raised locally here in the Flathead Valley, and couldn't live in a more beautiful place. We both love everything about where we live, which is why we know we are so blessed to be able to raise our family here. Far enough away to be secluded but close enough to enjoy your everyday lifestyle easily. This is just the place we always wanted to build, close to family, and the mountains where we grew up.
Enjoy your morning coffee on any of our beautiful decks or the loft bedroom balcony, while taking in the beautiful views of Teakettle Mountain and the wooded private backyard. Enjoy the property's year round creek, perfect for a little children's fishing experience. With plenty of parking and beautiful grassy yards for your children to run and play, you will feel right at home.Enjoy our nation's Great Northern Railroad from our property, watch some of our nation's great industrious works go by, it does honk it's historic horn as well. We also offer additional accommodations for pets please inquire about these when booking your vacation with us.
Just a short beautiful drive to Glacier National Park, as well as only a couple blocks from the best local restaurant near Glacier, we are sure you will find our cabin just the place you want to be.
The cabin is just like the pictures and was great for our visit to glacier national park. It was close enough that full day hikes were doable, even when we planned for hikes on the other side of the park in Many Glacier. Hiking from Apgar or Logan pass was easily doable and we got to sleep in a little since it was so close! The cabin is located near a great butcher shop, and the grill on the back deck was convenient for grilling steaks. The cabin had great amenities like coffee, oil and spices for cooking, washer and dryer, and a comfy couch and bed.
Less than good (but we still highly recommend this place!):
The neighborhood is a little strange, in that theres a mix of older, less well kept properties, but the cabin itself was lovely and we never had a problem with the neighborhood. The cabin does face the railroad tracks, and a train goes by frequently and loudly. Even with the heavy curtains closed, and windows shut, there's no way you won't hear it every two hours. It shakes the bed in the loft upstairs. Some days it went by less frequently but our first night was interrupted a lot, even with ear plugs (which they provide). Since this was in the rental description, we weren't upset. While the train is way too loud to ever become white noise, we were tired enough from hiking that it didn't ruin our rest for early morning hiking.
The spiral staircase is very pretty, but can be tough on taller folks and those sore from hiking. Not a big deal, unless you're traveling with elderly who may want to stay on the sleeper sofa downstairs. The wifi is also slow and disconnects regularly -- I never mentioned this to the hosts, so this may not be normal. It was not a necessity since we weren't online much, and it worked long enough to access trail maps and trail status updates. We couldn't access watch anything on Netflix due to the internet speed, but we weren't upset about it because it worked for our needs.
Great place to stay and the hosts really do think about providing basics you might need. I recommend it to anyone visiting Glacier National Park, but I would tell them about the noise in case they are sensitive to being woken up. I would love to visit again in the future!
Terrific cabin with all support of home. Kitchen well equipped including spices, oils and wine glasses! Enjoyed porches on back and front for morning coffee and evening wine. Train took 1st night to get used to but the comfy bed helped alot!! Highly recommend😀
House was great had everything we needed. Close to the park 5 minute drive.
Perfectly located off Rt 2 and close/minutes to the entrance of west Glacier Park, this cozy cabin in Coram was the right fit for our hiking vacation. However, before I get to the details of the cabin, I must speak to the kindness and helpfulness of the owner, Keshia Fisher as she literally bailed us out at the last minute. We were scheduled to stay at a different rental and were called by the homeowner as we were driving up from Missoula--the house we rented could not be reached due to flooding caused by recent rains. I quickly emailed a few homeowners on Homeaway requesting last minute availability and Keshia called me back within minutes and said she could get their place ready in a couple of hours for us. After dining on a delicious pizza over at the Glacier Grille (right down the street), we drove to this perfect little retreat. We opened the cabin door to an open floor-plan with an efficient, modern kitchen with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and stocked cabinets with cooking utensils, dishes/glasses etc. An open family room and table-for-two occupied the other half of the room where we watched Direct TV and posted our pictures each day using the cabin's WiFi. A half bath with stacked washer and dryer completed the first floor and we were so pleased to go home with a suitcase of clean clothes. The spiral staircase led up to the loft with a comfy queen size bed, bathroom/shower and plenty of space for our clothing, packs and gear. And the walk out porch was great to leave the door open and hear the crickets at night and birds in the morning. The downstairs wrap around porch with a table and grill in the back made for a nice dinner outside. The train was not a disturbance to us and we enjoyed hearing it whistle by. If our travels ever bring us back to Montana and the Glacier Park area, we would absolutely stay here again and will recommend it to our friends. The hospitality and location can't be beat!
This cabin has rustic charm with modern touches. My husband and I stayed here for two nights and wished we could have stayed longer if not move in! The kitchen has all the supplies you could need for cooking and there is a grill on the deck, I loved the awesome spiral staircase that leads to the bedroom loft with a comfortable bed to rest your head after exploring Glacier. There is a train that goes by regularly but after you hear it a few times it becomes white noise. This is a beautiful property and I can’t get over the beauty of the cabin. We would love to stay here again, thank you to our hosts Keshia and Chris!
