The owner of this property discovered Sayulita back in 1960 and built the main house to live in and enjoy the tranquility fo Sayulita. Over they years they built the casita as well as the Bungalow and decided to turn their home in to a vacation rental. I was invited to the home about 10 years ago to refresh the interiors to provide guests with all the conforts they could desire in a vacation home. Sincé then the home has provided family vacation memories for hundreds of guests.
The location could not be better - close enough to Sayulita to enjoy the shops and restaurants but far enough away for peace and tranquility. The surf crashing on the rocks and the direct Access to the beach make this home on in a million.
Nature Nature Nature! It´s all around you. The Sierra Madre and the Pacific ocean are all you will see and feel while relaxing on your vacation in this private home nestled on the North tip of Sayulita.
Spectacular spot at the end of the beach. Every time I'm here, it's magic. The property sits right on the beach and there are very few other people around. It's an easy 20 minute walk down the beach to the center of town.
Breathtakingly beautiful - that is Casa Kestos.
Every morning I awoke to the sound of the surf crashing against the shore and when I took my tea on the patio I simply could not believe we were fortunate enough to be staying in a place of such beauty.
We were a group of 8 adults, we stayed for a glorious 2 weeks.
We walked into town, some or all of us, daily. We walked the beach in front of us which leads to the village of Sayulita where we surfed, shopped and dined. We also walked the numerous paths behind the villa and went to even quieter beaches and indeed walked all the way to San Pancho through the jungle - take water with you. Not a hike for the faint of heart. The walk into town is faster if you take the short path that leads to the road- Palmar , but the beach walk is lovely.
Venezia Pizza is always a hit, and we added Calypso in the square to our list of favourite restaurants.
This was our second visit to Sayulita and we explored more streets and shops this time. We kept the donut sellers busy and the churro man as well as other street vendors. All cheap and delicious. We also discovered the beer wholesaler who delivers, just up the street from the book store/library. The local market on Friday was full of fresh foods and crafts and the La Cruz market on the pier on Sunday morning is a must.
The casa , bungalow and casita were all lovely. The staff were friendly and the manager was very helpful. The internet was quite reliable for the most part.
We did make use of a taxi a few times, especially when we had groceries.
Some of us took the local bus in to Bucerias to go to the market and the Mega grocery store. It is cheap and reliable. The bus stop was about a half hour walk from the casa for us- not hustling along!
I would return to Casa Kestos in a heartbeat and recommend it heartily.
Casa Kestos is perched on the Norther tip of Sayulita with direct acess to the beach. It is about a 20 minute walk along the beach to town or a 5 minute drive. This very peaceful location is perfect for rest and relaxation.
