One of our favourite spots to vacation! The cottage is wonderful and stocked with everything you need! A great place to watch stunning sunsets and spend the night chatting by the fire...we couldn't have asked for anything more :) Norma and Alan are lovely and we can't wait to go back!

Spectacular views at a cozy cottage on a cliff

  • 4 of 5

This was our family of five's first time renting a cottage, and we are more than pleased that we did it.

It was very important for us to be within an hour and a half of home (London), and be on the water, and this place hit the nail on the head on both fronts.

Norma was a very welcoming and friendly host, and a pleasure to deal with and collaborate with. She's a very nice lady, and goes above and beyond to make people feel welcome and provide the essentials.

The location is great, maybe a five minute drive outside of Bayfield, where there was some spectacular shopping and a park and splash pad that our 4 year old and 2 year old LOVED. The cottage was cozy and the view was spectacular, as you can tell by the photos.

The only forewarning I would give those with small children is that the cottage is situated HIGH on a bluff, and the beach access is via a steep grassy hill beside the property. I had to make two trips each time we went down, one to carry the baby and pre schoolers down, and another to lug the beach stuff. The beach/water is also pretty rocky.

For the price, location, and convenience, the booking really couldn't be beat. There were a few minor and easily fixable maintenance issues involving doors and an umbrella, but overall our family had an absolute blast and are very appreciative of our wonderful hosts.

Great Property Fantastic View

  • 4 of 5

Myself and 2 friends stayed at this cottage on the Thanksgiving weekend this year.

It was wonderful!

There is nothing more gorgeous than a Lake Huron Sunset in Ontario.

The view is amazing.

The pictures are great but nothing like being there.

The cottage is in a great location between the pretty little town of Bayfield and very close to Grand Bend and not far from Goodrich.

The cottage sits up on a grassy hill so you can see nothing but water for miles and miles., very private.

The cottage itself is charming, well taken care of and has everything

that we could want.

It has three bedrooms with very comfortable beds, great linens and pillows.

The bathroom is brand new this year.

The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots pans all the things anyone would need to cook some scrumptious meals.

It was cool over the weekend and we had a fire everyday and night that not only kept us nice and toasty but supplied terrific ambiance as well.

We hope to go back again in the not too distant future.

Just to add the owners Norma and Alan are lovley and couldn't have made our stay any more pleasant.

Perfect relaxing weekend getaway with gorgeous views!

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend, dog and I stayed here this past weekend and it was amazing. The view was unbeatable for Lake Huron and the cottage was super clean and nicely updated. Everything we needed was there and was very close to Bayfield. We enjoyed the campfire and beach access as well as the indoor fireplace. Would definitely stay here again:) The owners were very accommodating and nice to deal with!

Great getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spend a couple nights here with our dog for a quick getaway. We absolutely LOVED the area. Close beach access, and very private which was a nice change. Cottage had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The outdoor shower is nice to clean off from the sand as well. We are looking forward to staying longer next summer! :)

Very cute cottage with great views

  • 4 of 5

My family and 2 children rented the cottage for a week. The owners were very friendly and even provided a crib for our littlest one. The cabin is small and basic but clean and very useable. The kitchen had pretty much everything we needed and a great BBQ. We found the views in the evenings to be fantastic and enjoyed a fire and a bottle of wine in a couple of nights. The beach is a small walk down the hill but the access id right next to the unit. The beach was sandy and quiet. If you want some action you are about a 10 minute drive to Bayfield or Grand Bend. We would stay here again on a future vacation.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your response we appreciate your time to let us know how your stay was. We have added oven mitts to the kitchen and have adjusted temps for the refrigerator and working better now. Sorry we forgot about the micro wave and our dishes - we are adding plates that are microwaveable. We have plans to make the bathroom bigger next year - but for now it is pretty Cozy - our outdoor shower now up and running will be a big hit for this summer Thank you
