Hear the wonderful sound of Clear Creek from the deck of this classic A-frame vacation cabin. Recently remodeled, this circa-1957 home is the retreat you need to refresh and reconnect.

Located about five minutes north of scenic Rhododendron and just over a mile from Mt. Hood Highway, you'll savor the tranquility of this cozy mountain hideaway on Clear Creek, providing a timeless, relaxing escape on about one acre in the forest.

Ensconced in the warmth of the Vermont Casting wood stove, the wood-paneled, cozy living room on the main floor opens to grand views of the creek below, providing the perfect compliment to the tranquil atmosphere.

You'll enjoy the quiet, unhurried atmosphere of this cozy mountain hideaway on Clear Creek with amenities like cable, a DVD player, a VCR, and a surround-sound stereo system. Meanwhile, the upper level has a sitting room with breathtaking panoramic views of Clear Creek.

With custom tile work by a local Mt. Hood artist, your chef will have the rare combination of aesthetic and functional value in the kitchen. Take the meal outside to the spacious deck. Clean ups will be easy with the dishwasher. For after-dinner s'mores, head creekside to the stone benches and firepit.

This two-bedroom, two-bathroom home sleeps five people. The master bedroom features a queen bed and a bath with a jetted tub and two-headed shower. The second bedroom has a twin bed and a full bed.

As part of the Mount Hood Scenic Byway, Rhododendron is a great jumping off point for all the activities, summer or winter. Close to five ski areas, including Mount Hood Meadows, which is just a little over a half-hour away. There are great places to fish and hike as well with nature paths around the property that run by Clear Creek. Take a day trip to Portland for a fun change of pace, and don't forget to bring your clubs for a day of golf!

Book this adorable Mt. Hood cabin today, and relish in the beauty and quiet of the Oregon woods.

About Vacasa, OR - Mt Hood / Hood River

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

My family is on the go all the time, and to be able to sneak away to this comfy, cozy, beautiful cabin and relax for a few days - we were so thankful and excited to be there! We will certainly be back again and may even start it as a yearly tradition!

Rustic cabin that is quiet, but easily accessible.

  • 4 of 5

We had a very nice stay over Labor Day weekend. Rustic charm, with maybe a little too many knickknacks but overall wonderfully appointed with a great working kitchen (including dishwasher) and full laundry capability - a must for our family with two little kids. Stream out back with outdoor fire pit was superb. Only about 25 minutes to Timberline Lodge, Trillium Lake, etc. We will stay again!
