Why The Owner chose Mount Hood

such a wonderful spot. feels like you are off in the middle of nowhere yet up the road is the grocery store, liquor store, outdoor store and the resort and golf course. Trillium Lodge is in the area of the original town of Welches. Lots of folks come up with plans to go go go. In the end they stay put with a little bit of go go added.

Awesome Mt Hood rental!

  • 5 of 5

Had a great spring break trip with two small children and our black lab. The house was very clean and cozy, and the meadow out back on the Salmon river is so peaceful. The hot tub as well as the rest of the house was very well kept- although many restaurants close to eat nearby, we brought food and cooked and the kitchen had everything we needed. We spent the days skiing at Skibowl and Timberline. We built fires in the evening and it was so cozy! Definitely going to return if we are able!

Great Mt hood getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Had a fantastic stay up at the Trillium cottage! The two houses were closer in proximity than expected but wasn't an issue at all, and would be great for a larger group. We come up to Mt hood area every year and have stayed in many rentals, hotels etc. and this is one of our new favorites. The property behind the houses is wonderful, the dogs loved being able to run around and we even had a bonfire before it started raining and it was fantastic. The cottage itself was clean and had everything we needed. We have a dog but also are very OCD about cleanliness, we weren't sure if it would be a little dirtier but it was just as clean as if they didn't allow dogs. Thanks Clint, we will be back!

Mountain River Happiness

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we pulled into Clint and Barbara's place, we could feel our mood change. Just a few minutes off the main road, we suddenly felt like we'd travelled hundreds of miles. Both homes (along with their really cool recreation room--pool table ping pong etc) have a distinctly different feel that let's everyone in our 9 person group feel they had privacy and peace.

The main cabin is the older of the two but really the center for group activity with a fantastic front porch. These homes are simply warm and cozy and calming. One of our favorite features of the place, however, was the huge yard and fire pit that spans lout in front of each home, leading one down to the river. So awesome!! With the Salmon River trails nearby along with a beautiful golf course within walking distance, it gives every outdoorsman an outlet during the day before coming back to one of 2 hot tubs. Such a sweet set up.

Our hosts had everything ready and super clean and were immediately available when we had a quick question about the fire place. Simply, great hosts. My daily and friends will be returning for another round next year,

Trillium Cottage- Such a special place!

  • 5 of 5

My family, friends and I have been coming up to both the Trillium Cottage and Lodge every year for nearly a decade. There is so much to love- proximity to hiking, climbing, biking, fishing, and skiing; the comfort and coziness of the homes; the location of the property nestled up against the Sandy River; hot tubs, serenity, and all amenities such as internet, tv, washer/dryer etc. Clint, the owner, is really one of the kindest and most considerate people I have ever met. It is always a pleasure dealing w him and he makes sure the property/structures are always in tip top shape. I HIGHLY recommend the cottage or lodge. It is great for a weekend get away w a partner, outing w a group of friends, a retreat, or even an event like a wedding.

Nice stay in the woods

  • 5 of 5

Trillium Cottage is the perfect combination of close to amenities and getting away from it all. Enjoy sitting by the beautiful Salmon River or watching stars from the hot tub, then run five minutes to the market or over to Zigzag for cobbler. Everything was clean and uncluttered and comfy.

Quiet Cozy Retreat

  • 5 of 5

I initially picked this cabin because it allowed pets but it was so clean and comfortable that I'd stay again even if I didn't have a dog. Great hiking in the area and beautiful scenery. The river is about 200 feet in front of the cabin and you can hear it at night with the windows open. The owners were quick to respond to any questions and they left great instructions for everything. I would stay here again!!
