Decorated with lots of thought this two bedroom, one bathroom condo is ideal for those looking for comfortable and tastefully furnished accommodation in close proximity to all south coast amenities. Master bedroom has a Queen bed, Guest bedroom has 2 single beds that can be made into a king. Both bedrooms are air conditioned. There is WIFI, land line, Cable TV, washer and dryer and a well equipped open plan kitchen. Comfortable and color coordinated furniture has been thoughtfully provided, windows have screens. The bathroom has a shower, blow dryer provided and full length mirror (for the ladies!).
Please note no children 10yrs and under.

I am from Barbados and have lived here most of my life with some years spent living in Brisbane, Australia and New Orleans, Louisiana. I have been back in Barbados for the last 28 years and own a Real Estate company who sells properties island wide and manages properties on the south coast that are offered for holiday rental. I totally love living on this island and know every inch of it. I love spending Sundays exploring the island, there is always something I have never seen before. There is an intense social life on the island, so much to do, so many events and I try to do as much as possible. I bought this condo as part of my retirement plan and had a great time furnishing and decorating, I found some road signs which I used as decor in the master bedroom as well as an archival black and white photograph of a chattel house which is the name of the type of indigenous houses they have on the island.

I bought this property because it was located in a convenient area and the neighborhood is quiet and public transport is just at the top of the street. There is off street parking and it is a secure area. I sell real estate so as soon as I saw this unit I knew I just had to have it before it sold to someone else. I tried to furnish and decorate the unit in a manner that would be pleasing to guests and to create a space that will make guests happy come back to after a day at the beach or exploring. I chose relaxing and cooling colors. My Island Space.
What makes this Condo unique
I like the fact that the condo is in a very convenient location while still being in a quiet enough area that there will be no entertainment noise to bother you and just half a block off the main highway so that you are not affected by traffic noise.

My Island Space
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Island Space, the apartment is nicely furnished, you can tell that time was spent on the details, it is comfortable and is furnished with everything you will need. We did not rent a car for our first two days and it was easy to catch a bus with the bus stop just 75 yards away at the end of the street. We walked to several beaches during the day and ate lunch at Butterfly Beach Hotel nearby, the food there is good and with really fair prices. At night we took a bus to St. Lawrence Gap, it took less than 5 minutes to get there and we had a choice of restaurants and bars and also saw some good live entertainment. Once we got our car we headed to Oistins to grocery shop where there is a large grocery store and we bought fresh fish in the market. The housekeeper who cleaned the apartment was amazing and very friendly. We also appreciated that the neighbourhood was quiet which was great for when we did spend time in the apartment. This apartment is excellent value for money. We will be back for sure.

Very nice and clean apartment in a very nice area, not very far away from the beach. Good comunications, just take the bus or minibus from the main street about hundred meters to walko. We stayed in the apartment for 17 days and we liked it very much. We do recomend this. Thank you

Ideally located half way between the popular St. Lawrence Gap the entertainment hub of the island and Oistins, home of the Famous Friday Night Fish Fry, this apartment is just steps away from public transport and is in walking distance to several beaches in the Maxwell area. Oistins also offers restaurants, local food vendors, a bank and a grocery store. There are several hotels nearby such as Bouganvillea Hotel, Barbados Beach Village and Butterfly Beach Hotel, all offering restaurants. Windsurfing is offered nearby and Freights is the closest surfing area which is in Atlantic Shores, less than 5 minutes away by car. Silver Sands, the home of windsurfing on the island is just five minutes drive away. Bridgetown, the Capital is approximately 20 minutes drive away. St. Lawrence Gap offers nightlife and lots of live entertainment and a choice of restaurants and casual dining. We like to have lunch at Butterfly Beach, the restaurant at this hotel is set on the edge of the ocean and the view is breathtaking, the staff are friendly and the prices are very affordable. Head into Oistins to buy your fresh fish or eat it right there at one of the local vendors. Surfers Cafe is also in Oistins and this is a great spot for good food and they offer good live music on Sunday nights. The Barbados Golf Club is about 5 minutes drive away with affordable golfing rates and a restaurant offering casual food and good pizza. You can get to just about everywhere from this location. The neighborhood is peaceful and pleasant.
