This is a perfect cottage for two. The cottage has everything you need to stay in or close enough to surrounding areas to explore. We loved everything about the cottage and it is a runner's dream, as there is plenty of sidewalk and area to run while enjoying the ocean and community. We would definitely recommend this to family and friends. We traveled with our teenage son which made a total of 3. Occupancy of three is OK but, I feel it would have been better with two or a much younger child. The property was clean and well maintained. All amenities offered were present. The owner's provide quick responses and are available but, allow for privacy. The owner included a binder of cottage information and access. The owner gave great recommendations for dining and provided dining option in the cottage information binder.
The house is new. The decorating adds to the coastal charm. We stayed for 6 enjoyable days. Within easy walking distance to the ocean, beach and downtown. Highly recommend this property to any couple traveling to Rockport.
We loved our stay in this lovely and nicely located cottage an easy and beautiful walk from downtown Rockport. The decor is charming, the accommodations very comfortable, and the view spectacular. My only regret is that we didn't have more time to spend there-- I would go back in a heartbeat. Working with the owner was as easy as can be. Thank you for a great home away from home!
My wife and I have to say this place exceeded our expectations ! It was perfect for any couple looking for a romantic getaway from the city and life. To add to the weekend, Rockport, is the perfect town for this as well. There is so much to see and do for a couple. This place will be on the top of our list for favorite getaways. The owners are awesome and thought of everything. Our fav spot was the top porch and watching the sunrise and sunsets. This is truly a gem !
We loved the cottage. Everything was beautifully decorated and organized for comfort and a charming respite from busy lives. There was not a thing more we could have wanted. The kitchen is fully equipped and when we weren't strolling to Roy Moore's lobster company (Bearskin neck) for fresh seafood, we ate in.
The upstairs was cute and the bed comfortable. We loved sitting by the back porch feeling the cool breeze, drinking a glass of wine and recounting the day's adventures.
It is in easy walking distance of several beaches, where you can find sea glass, as well as downtown Rockport, with its shops, galleries, and restaurants. And only a short drive from antiquing in Essex with lunch at Woodman's, where fried clams were invented!
Truly a perfect getaway and we will be back!
Wonderful cottage with a good view of the harbor from the 2nd floor porch. Great place to enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sailboats cruise by. My wife and I had a family wedding in Rockport to attend so we chose this cottage for the weekend. Cottage was very clean and well decorated.
There should be a photo of the over sized shower on the web site photos.
Close enough to town yet far enough away to relax from the festivities. We spent our free time exploring Rockport and the coast south. Ate lunch at My Place by the Sea and the Studio at Rocky Neck Art Colony in Gloucester.
We would highly recommend this cottage for a get away.
Rockport is famous for its miles of lovely beaches, boulder-strewn paths through woods and that special light that has inspired painters for decades. An hour's pleasant drive north of Boston, enjoy a romantic getaway and all that the North Shore has to offer.
