Cozy Mountain Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was great! Our group was made up of 7 adult friends and partners just wanting to spend time together and get away for a weekend. In our planning the owner Annette was very responsive and timely in answering all questions we had, she even very graciously accommodated a change in weekends when I accidentally booked the wrong dates. Once we arrived we were all pleasantly surprised at how charming the place was, plenty of places to sleep and the perfect big living room/kitchen/dining area for all of us to congregate. The hot tub was phenomenal and all of us really enjoyed the outside fire pit area. We all had a great time and would not hesitate to highly recommend the place and/or to return in the future.

Beautiful cabin with great amenities!

  • 5 of 5

I rented this cabin to celebrate my six year anniversary. I really wanted to have a romantic getaway weekend since we don't get to spend too much time together. In researching different cabins, I realized that in order to get the romantic getaway that I wanted I would have to pay a little more than what I originally wanted. Worth it! The cabin is absolutely GORGEOUS! It has everything you could possibly think of including towels, linens, blankets, multiple places and wood to start a fire to keep warm (indoors and outdoors), utensils and cooking supplies galore (salt, pepper, spatulas, cork screw, grilling utensils, plates, pots and pans, even had some skewers for s'mores!) It really felt as if they had thought of every detail in the cabin ranging from the floor details in the main area to the tub and shower with two shower heads in the master bath! The hot tub and fire pit outside were the cherry on top for us! We originally wanted to do some hiking and exploring, but we ended up spending the entire two days at the cabin drinking wine, listening to music, and watching the stars in the hot tub which was awesome even in the 20 degree weather! To top the entire thing off, we saw TWO shooting stars while we were there, it was absolutely romantic! When we arrived I couldn't log on to my VRBO site so I had to call the owner to give me the code to go inside. She was very helpful and even sent me an email with all of the info I was missing from the site! Although the cabin is not secluded, the cabin's glass doors and windows are set to where the other houses are out of sight and there is plenty of space between all the homes to where it still feels private. 95% of the view from inside is mountains, which made me so happy. My only suggestion would be to add better security to the home..any sort of alarm or anything stronger than a normal door lock would have made me feel safer. With that being said, we did NOT have any issues with neighbors and we even played our music outside while in the hot tub and did not have any complaints! I would also suggest to future renters to bring your own towels if you are picky about using smelly towels. The towels all smelled like they had been left in the washer for a long time before drying, which is understandable. Not a big deal, but worth noting. Overall, it has now been a week since my trip and I am still on cloud 9 about the entire stay and I know it wouldn't have been the same if we had stayed elsewhere!

Rustic, rural, peaceful.

  • 4 of 5

Great place to get away. Miles of hiking for us and the dog, right out the back door. Beautiful views. Good location, not far from Luray and the town, but off the beaten path. Any complaints we had were minimal. Lovely experience.

Perfect cabin!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was really nice and cozy. We loved the old log cabin feel mixed with modern amenities. The master suite was a great size, especially the bathroom. We'll definitely come back during the summer to take advantage of the river access and large yard.
