Very well appointed cottage with a super reasonable rate. Very easy to make reservations and work with. Located at the end of a lane so was very quiet and peaceful. A lot of bugs around, but it is in the middle of a rain ☔ forest after all!
All in all, it's a very nice place to stay and it is very clear that there is pride in ownership. The place was well cared for.
Can't beat the room for the price!!
Beautiful and peaceful!
Was perfect for what we were looking for. Private and perfect Hawaiian experience!
Very comfortable, clean, and cute private cottage.
We stayed in this cottage for 6 nights, the place is very nice and cute, surrounded with lots of trees, located in a quite, and safe neighborhood. It has a comfortable king size bed. No A/C but has 2 ceiling fans, one in the bedroom and the other one in the living room, has Wi-Fi but no cable.
This cottage has all the necessity you will need when you are away from home, e.g. spices, and even shampoo and soap. David was very friendly and helpful, He lives in other house next to the cottage with his 2 cute dogs.
To stay in this place, you have to have a car, it is located in Hawaii Paradise park, about 1/2 hour to Hilo, where you can shop if needed, and there is a farmer market which open daily. It is about 7 blocks to the ocean, where you can view spectaculars waves and sunrises, which we took amazing pictures from these areas.
We enjoyed very much during our stay here and definitely we will stay here again, when we come back next time to the Big Island.
Cozy place to get away from it all.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. I loved the sound of nature at night; very peaceful and dark. As other reviews mentioned, there is no AC, however, we stayed in the winter months and did not have a problem. The house could use a good deep cleaning but for such a bargain we were fine with a little dust. I would stay here again if we ever ventured back to Hawaii.
It's clean and has what you need. No cable. Not a big deal for us since all we did was sleep/shwr.
The place was clean and had what we needed. We were there during the winter/rainy season. One thing that would be nice to know is that a lot of roads in the area tend to have standing water and are subject to flash floods when it rains. The first night it was raining a lot and the second night it was raining even more. I wasn't sure if we could get to the place but we did. We tried emailing and texting the owner the first night there and we still haven't heard back from him and it has been 6 days now. Not sure what the problem is there but a response would be nice. It was very loud with frogs, to the point I shut the windows to try and get some quiet. Other than that it was nice being out of the city environment. We got to see things most people don't just because of the location.
