Quintessential OSJ Experience
Wanda couldn’t be friendlier kinder or more accommodating! Location is perfect! 5 Stars all the way!
What a wonderful condo! We had a great vacation and loved the location of the condo. At night, the bar below played music and the indoor sunroom floor illuminated to the beat of the music. Even though the street was noisy, once in the bedrooms with the doors closed, it wasn’t bad at all. Being in the living area and having the balconies was fun to people watch and enjoy the evening. The condo was clean, well maintained and lovely. Having beach towels was a huge plus as well as the washer and dryer. The entire process from booking to checking out was smooth and easy. My family loved the lively street and had a great time exploring the restaurants and bars each night. We will definitely be back in the future. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Best location / old San Juan
This place was located right in the heart of San Sebastián street. It was clean and very well maintained... we have a blast visiting all the clubs and walking along the street. Definitely will come back
Excellent Home in the heart of it all
This house was better than the photos and the place bigger than expected. The open air feel when opening the front shutters was a cool breeze that cooled all of the open rooms quickly and nicely. The A/C in the bedrooms cooled the rooms very well in under 10 min despite the soaring ceilings. From the check in to check out it was perfect and flawless. Our damage deposit was very quickly returned after check out. Like other reviewers stated the noise from the local bars can be quite loud into the middle of the night, but if you don't like the noise just join the fun by going downstairs and experience it. We rented the full 4 bedroom unit, but looks like it can be closed off to make 2 - 2 bedroom units. Having the entire unit gave us so much space to sprawl out with the 4 adults and 2 kids. Parking was easy with the 3 min walk to the garage which ran roughly $20/day. Have fun in this place!
5 Stars but a deduction for the noise
First of all, the apartment was just as described and pictured online. It was beautiful! The front living room was great for our family of 8 to gather and kitchen was nice even though we didn't make much use of it. The apartment was clean and well maintained. Overall, I would have given it 5 Stars, however, to no fault of the owners, there are several bars located on this block and it can be very loud at 1 am +. My wife and I slept in the loft room which is closest to the street and we definitely heard all of the partying going on. If you plan on sleeping in the loft, either plan on wearing ear plugs or don't plan on getting to sleep until 2 am. Otherwise, this place is GREAT. It's close to cafes, groceries, El Morro, and more. The rep for Vida Urbana (Wanda) was easy to work with and met us for check in and check out right on time. Great Service.
I loved the authentic look of the apartment. The area was awesome. We had our whole family with us. Food bars and El Morro very close. We definitely stay again.
Old San Juan is the oldest city on US Territory and part of the World Heritage. It is about 8 by 8 blocks of unique colonial style architecture and offers everything from restaurants, bars, Puerto Rican coffee shops, galleries, open air music, and nice paths to walk by the Port & Ocean, tourist shops to grocery store, pharmacy, Marshalls and Starbucks. The closest unofficial beach is in front of the Capitol Building in about 10-15 walking minutes from almost anywhere in Old San Juan. The nearest blue flag beach is called El Escambron and can reached in about 25-30 minutes walking along the Atlantic Ocean or in about 5 minutes by car/ taxi or bus. Old San Juan has a bus station from where you can go to Plaza Las Americas, the biggest mall in the Caribbean, to the Convention Center, as well as to Condado and Isla Verde, the other two main tourist spots along the coast of San Juan. Condado and Isla Verde are the modern parts of the city and have great beaches, hotels & casinos & much more... Learn more about Parking in Old San Juan: Old San Juan provides free of charge on street parking, which is usually hard to find. It is more likely to find a spot between 6am and 8am and between 4pm and 7pm. During business hours and later at night it might take a while to find a spot and it can turn out to be challenging at times. All of our apartments are within walking distance of parking buildings and/or lots, providing overnight rates or hour rates starting at $1.25 and $0.50 for the additional hours. The most economic parking rental is a public lot by Paseo de la Princesa at the southwest city wall of Old San Juan. There are several parking buildings all over town: “Ballaja” on the northwest section of Old San Juan right by El Morro, “La Cochera” in the center of town on Calle Luna between Cruz and San Justo Street (which offers 24 hour rate for about $25), “Dona Fela” in the south center on Recinto Sur and the most economic parking building “Covadonga” right on top of the public bus station as well on Recinto Sur, one block east of the Old San Juan Sheraton Hotel.
