One of the best, most walkable locations in Charlotte! Convenient second-floor apartment with off-street parking. Located on a quiet, tree-lined residential street in the Historic District of Dilworth, 1.5 miles from the central business district (Uptown), you'll be able to walk to 3 parks, two full-service grocery stores, a health-food market, 40+ restaurants from casual to fine dining (including raw/vegan, Indian, 3 Thai restaurants, Italian, burgers/pizza, sushi, etc.) wine shop, wine bar, yoga and massage studios, coffee shops, art galleries, consignment shops, neighborhood pubs and other amenities. A transit stop 1/2 block away provides bus service directly to Uptown and SouthPark (upscale shopping) every 15 minutes. The light rail stop to Uptown is only a 15-minute walk away. Carolinas Medical Center is 4 minutes away by car, or an easy 15-20 minute walk.
This super-comfortable, spotlessly clean, quiet, large one-bedroom apartment is in a historic 8-plex apartment building that we own, built in 1920, and has been completely remodeled with attention to all the details. High ceilings, refinished original hardwood floors, original 2-panel doors with glass door knobs help the apartment maintain its original character. It is furnished in an updated traditional style with modern flair, with an emphasis on comfort.
One of the best features is the large balcony, overlooking the front lawn, which provides a comfortable outdoor living and dining area to take advantage of Charlotte's wonderful climate, whether for breakfast in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.
We've recently undertaken a complete GREEN renovation on the building, including dual- pane windows, high efficiency HVAC, energy efficient lighting, dual-flush toilets, ceiling fans, tankless water heaters and new insulation for comfort.
In the fully-equipped kitchen there are brand new cabinets, quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances, including a gas range and refrigerator with ice maker. A washer and dryer are also included in the apartment for your use. There is a desk, wifi, and stereo with a place for your Ipod or MP3 player, a large flat screen television in the living room and a smaller one in the bedroom.
400-thread-count linens are provided for the King size bed, and there is a double sofa sleeper if you have guests. An abundance of thick thirsty towels are provided as well.
The grounds are well-landscaped with native and drought tolerant plantings. You'll feel safe and secure, with keyed access required for both the building entrance and the apartment.
Most of our guests are repeat clients who book in advance, so please book early. We think we've thought of everything you'll need for your visit, but if not, we live right around the corner so can help with anything you might need.
I'm a native Charlottean, so am happy to provide any help during your stay, including restaurant suggestions, art openings, events, etc. Just ask! You'll love living like a local. We look forward to hosting you.

My husband and I are green real estate developers in Charlotte. Our most recent completed project is called Celadon, the first LEED-Neighborhood Development in the Southeast. We have the opportunity to travel extensively, and enjoy staying in private homes or apartments rather than hotels. We enjoy welcoming guests to our properties and helping them get acquainted with Charlotte.

Historic Dilworth is among the best and most walkable locations in the city. The neighborhood is made up of a nice mix of people who value the convenience of living so close to Uptown, but in a quiet setting with tree-lined streets, wide sidewalks and non-cookie-cutter homes. We do most of our errands on foot or by bike, and enjoy being out and about in the neighborhood.
Located near three parks, several grocers, a farmers market, wine shop and dozens of restaurants, it's a great place to park your car and explore on foot or by bike.
We could not have been more pleased with our month-long stay in Magnolia Green apartments! We will definitely plan to stay here again in the future. The Dilworth area has been delightful, and we've loved being able to walk to so many places. Also, having restaurant recommendations was quite helpful, and all your choices were quite good.
Thanks for making our stay in Charlotte such a pleasant one!
I have stayed at many VRBO properties and have been a property owner myself and this place was by far the most thoughtful, welcoming place I have been. The location was great, accommodations were exactly as described, but what stood out most was the extra effort and thought in welcoming us. The communication leading up to our stay was superb and very detailed. When I arrived, I had the local paper, a welcome assortment of food items and both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages at my disposal. It truly was outstanding. I would love to stay in any of the properties that they operate!
I immediately walked in and thought I could live there. The space is very well appointed and comfortable. The neighborhood is quaint, convenient and quiet. Its so walkable - we even walked to the B of A stadium to a game. I also appreciated how organized the owners and property manager were. The whole experience was very easy and they were quite welcoming and informative via email. Highly recommend.
Loved the spot. we booked last minute and could not have found a better place. Their was music playing when we walked in... drinks available.. a few items in the fridge (which I am 98% sure they left for us) otherwise we probably owe them some spaghetti and orange juice. the place was clean! the decor was great - felt like we were staying in a hotel.
We have stayed at Magnolia Green in Dilworth several times now. We are always so pleased with the decor, cleanliness, treats to eat left for us (our grandchildren enjoy these as well), and the prompt service on the rare occasion it is needed. We would not hesitate to stay again...in fact, this time we are going to stay at the Queens Terrace location. It looks just as lovely and we are looking forward to our trip!!
The condo was perfect. It was so much better than staying in a hotel. We had all the comforts of home. The apartment was adorable, warm and inviting. We will stay here every time we come to town. The staff is kind and always pleasant to work with. Great experience.
I have rented many places over many years, and a lot of them have been very nice with nice owners, but this is absolutely the best rental I've ever had! The apartment was nicely decorated, clean, comfy, in a nice area and with all the amenities I needed, but even greater than all that was the hospitality by Jim, James and Lisa. When I arrived after a very long day of traveling, I walked in to find a tray of food, a stocked bar, a newspaper, music playing softly and a note asking me to text them to let them know I arrived safely. As I told them, I almost cried. I have NEVER received such kind hospitality. Usually by the end of my work week, I am more than ready to get home, and I was a little disappointed this time that I had to leave this cozy little escape. I'm only giving them five stars because that's all VRBO will let me give!
Located in one of the finest neighborhoods in the city, Myers Park, just 2 miles from Uptown.
