My mother owned a home on this lot that was destroyed by hurricane IKE. She decided not to rebuild. She allowed me to take possesion of this property and build a home that we could all enjoy again. I am happy to share it with others so they can make great memories like my family has.

What makes this house unique

This home has a large partially covered porch so you can either lay in the sun and work on your tan or sit back in the shade and sip a glass of wine. Either way you have a beautiful view of the beach from all angles. The open concept floor plan allows you to spend your vacation enjoying your family and friends. When it is time to rest you can lay in the bed and still enjoy the beautiful ocean view.

Great location, quiet spot on the beach

The house itself is very nice and open...my kids loved the open concept. Large kitchen island to prepare food, eat, play games, etc. The beds were very comfortable and the AC cranks away to keep the place nice and cool. The downstairs outdoor shower is a very nice benefit as to. It drag in all the days beach grime also. Speaking of the beach, it is literally 50 foot away and another 50 foot of nice beach sand. One thing to look out for in the water however are some sort of old wood piling coming out of the beach in the water. These can be seen most of the time, but some also disappear during high tide....so just keep an eye out for those and remember where to enter the water. Also, bring everything you need because there isn't much around other than bait shops that sell ice...closet gas station/conv. Store are 5 miles away. Overall I was very pleased with the rental and will be scheduling another trip here soon.

Cozy & nice

As a single family we were very comfortable w/ the open floor plan. The place is clean & well maintained. The high bar top & plentiful cooking ware were accommodating. While Tropical Storm Cindy churned up a lot of debris (shells) on the beach - you can walk the very short distance, barefoot, comfortably. We've stayed in Crystal Beach & this area offered move privacy (less density). And Crystal Beach (Dannay's & grocery) is only 8 min away; the ferry is an 18 min drive. We stayed in Matagorda last & enjoy the small town setting. But this affords the best of both worlds w/ it's proximity to Galveston.

Perfect location!

We brought the whole family - from a 2 yrs to 79yrs. We had an amazing time! The beach house was spotless, well stocked and perfect for the 10 of us. There was enough room to spread out and relax or group together and play cards. The beach view was spectacular with the sunrise. We even had a fire on the beach, watched the sunset and ate s'mores. I highly recommend this spot. Jean was very quick to answer our questions and refunded our deposit promptly. We will be back!

Rental weeks are available two ways: Monday 3 pm to Sunday at 11 am or Friday 3 pm to Thursday at 11 am. Weekends are booked ONLY when they do not present a possible time loss. However, off season can be booked any time as long as it is a two-day rental, and as long as two weekends are not taken up by your stay.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
