The house was incredible! Beautiful and seemed very new. Had a great experience overall
House and property were perfect for what we needed! House was fully stocked with everything we needed and was in the perfect location. Would highly recommend!
Wonderful Place to Enjoy Franconia!
We loved our time at the Mittersill home! The open concept layout of the house made it the perfect location to spend time with friends, and serve as a home base while exploring the white mountain area. The house was very clean, and the beds and couches were all very comfortable. What was really nice though, was that we could bring our dogs with us; HUGE bonus to bring the pups along! I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a quiet, pleasant, dog friendly place, that is very close to many trails, places to swim, and Cannon Mountain!
Clean, well kept, nice location.
We had a great long weekend in this home. The place was clean and kept up well. Easy access in and out. The full kitchen was great. The beds were all nice. The home is located close to New Hampshire outdoor attractions such as The Flume, The Basin, and Canon Mountain Aerial Tram. We went on a two hour ATV tour that started approximately thirty minutes from the property. Fun times. Nice place. We would definitely stay again. My only suggestion is that if you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs as sound travels easily in the house. Two of us slept through all noises and two of us woke up when others used the bathrooms during the night. So, it's your call. Have a great time at a great place.
The location of the house was great, and the privacy from other homes was nice.
The home was very clean. The deck was great to sit on on the evenings. The home sleeps 8, but lacked some of the basic storage that makes a house function well. *There is only one nightstand in the master bedroom. Leaving one person with the need to put eyeglasses, book, phone on the floor next to the bed- not convenient in middle of night if guest needs to get up to use restroom. There is no ceiling light in master, and only one bedside lamp on the one nightstand. Definitely not enough light in the master.
There is no storage in the master bath. Plenty of wall space available for shelves in the master but no place for storage of toiletries. Had to place all meds, first aid, contact lens products, makeup, hair products, etc on top of the tall bureau in the bedroom. Not vey practical.
There was no nightstands at all in one of the downstairs bedrooms.
When we arrived, we could only find 6 bath towels and 3 hand towels. We couldn’t understand why, since house sleeps 8. Four days later, we found a load of towels in the dryer that had never been refolded and placed in the bathrooms.
There was food in the fridge, freezer and cabinets- left behind from previous occupants. So much in the cabinets that we couldn’t fit all of our food in them. As per the owner- we threw all of the food in the dumpster.
There was half used shampoo and conditioner left in the shower when we arrived. There were only 5 cereal bowls in the house. There were 8 of us. Had to take turns using the bowls.
The downstairs tub filled with water while showering, leaving us to be standing in several inches of water.
There is only one TV in the house, so bring one from home if you have multiple watchers.
Our biggest suggestion for what is otherwise a nice home in a beautiful location would be to make the home more functional by adding the items that one would expect to find in a home that sleeps 8: More storage units, more hooks to hang items, a drawer holding pens, scissors, rubber bands, notepaper. A full length mirror somewhere in the home. Nightstands and bedside lamps on both sides of queen beds in bedrooms, shelves for storage in bathrooms, perhaps a storage cabinet in the kitchen where the small decorative table is in the kitchen for food storage. The home has great potential with just a few tweaks to make it perfect for a large family.
Very nice getaway
House was beautiful and clean. We will certainly return!
The house was great and the location was perfect. It was a short drive to everything we wanted to do, which really made the difference with our one year old.
