Really enjoyed our stay. We had a group of 4 and were up for Hunter Mountain Octoberfest. The place was as shown and described. Awesome yard, cozy living room and fireplace. Bedrooms were sufficient. Downstairs bar and game room was cool, even though we barely used it. Just minutes away from main street in Windham. Only constructive feedback would be that the kitchen has no stove, so you cannot bring and cook your own food, and some of the places in town, like the Italian pizza place in particular, closes early (like by 10 pm or earlier). Plan ahead if you are drinking and want to eat after 9 pm. This is the only reason for 4 stars over 5. Not even a big deal, I would've given 4.5 stars if I could. Would definitely stay again, any season, and would recommend to anyone. Owner was responsive and very easy to deal with. Overall great weekend, thank-you!!
The owner was very responsive the whole time before, during, and after the stay with directions to the house and recommendations for activities and hiking spots around the area.
The Triangle House was everything I could've asked for during my brief stint. Although it was a little difficult to find (we arrived at night, and it was incredibly dark), we eventually made our way to the house and were delighted with what we saw. The house was clean, well stocked with towels, toilet paper, extra blankets and pillows, etc. Overall, this was a great stay, and the owner was very responsive and helpful with any needs you had. I highly recommend this house
We needed a place to stay while we attended a wedding in the Catskills and found Chuck's Triangle House to be the perfect place. The cabin was cozy and clean upon arrival. If you're looking for a serene get-a-way, this cabin will fulfill your wishes.
It's A-frame design adds to the charm and with the finished basement/game room you will find enough room for everyone. The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of linens/towels and extra pillows.
You will find most everything you need in the kitchen for meal prep. We didn't use them, but there is both a gas and propane grill on the deck. And both decks have seating areas for enjoying the outdoors. Our last night as the temperatures dipped, we enjoyed the wood stove for both warmth and ambiance.
The location is very convenient, just a quick drive to downtown Windham where you will find shopping and dining. While you're there, don't miss the Mill Rock! We had a splendid rehearsal dinner there. The best of both worlds, close to town but secluded for privacy.
All is all, a perfect weekend even though we had to dodge some raindrops during the mountaintop wedding. If we are ever back in the area, the Triangle House will be top on our list.
Cozy home. We found it very relaxing and comfortable. Very rustic and traditional. There is a nearby market on Main St where you can get any necessities and groceries. There are several hiking paths close-by which you can drive to or walk to (20 minute walk). About 30 minutes away is a Kayaking spot in Athens. Overall - my crew had a blast. Some of the negatives - The A-frame can be awkward at times - because of the angles of the house. No oven (toaster oven isn't really adequate). The walls are porous - so you can hear everrryyything. No need to elaborate there. The downstairs has a slight smell - perhaps because of the Sauna - so we didn't end up using it. The road leading to the house is not finished - so this was an inconvenience figuring out the alternate route. We arrived at night, so I will say the fact that the house was located on a dark road was tough - but in the light of day, the property was gorgeous, serene.
We had a wonderful time at Chuck's cabin. It was just the perfect place for us to spend the 4th of July holiday weekend. The location was perfect. The house was perfect--clean, tidy, and intimate. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. We will definitely be back!
