About Naomi or Vadim
Our family has a tradition to go up north at least once a year, mainly in the fall. We have been to a lot of different areas and although we always enjoyed ourselves, we were always searching for the perfect spot. In 2013 my family and I went to Indian River. We found that it was literally THE perfect location up north and fell in love. After spending a week in Indian River and the surrounding areas, we were leaving and I told my husband that we had to end up there in years to come. Little did we know that the family would get together and after looking all over, purchase this beautiful home to use and share with you in Indian River! I grew up in Florida but my family was from MI. I always had a love for MI even though I had only been here twice. Little did I know that I would meet and fall in love with my future husband who lived in MI. My husband is originally from Russia and moved here as a young child. Even though he always lived in a city, he and his family always had a passion for the forests and outdoors. A family pastime is picking forest mushrooms! We live in Oakland County and try to get up to our cabin as often as possible. Our free time includes spending time with family, travelling, cooking, barbecuing, fishing, hunting, skiing, sledding, and snowmobiling.

Awesome cabin. Very well stocked and comfortable for 11 people.
Rustic setting right on the snowmobile trail was beautiful and convenient. Would definitely come back.
It was a beautiful cabin and had everything we needed and more. I would definitely recommend staying here.
Sorry that you had to cut your trip short, hope that you visit us again and be able to stay your whole vacation. As always thank you for picking our home to vacation in.
The property was even better than the pictures we reviewed. Our family of 8 had a great time and are already planning the next trip.
The owners were even better than the property,Vadim was very helpful and very responsive to any questions that we had.
The log home was very spacious with lots of separate private spaces for the kids to have fun.
Thank you again Vadim for sharing your awesome property.
Thank you for such a wonderful review Chris! Also thank you for taking such good care of our home. You and your family are more than welcome to stay at our home again!
Lovely home for Family vacations
This home was very clean, comfortable, and the kitchen was especially user friendly. We have stayed at other "bare bones" places that leave you looking for more utensils, but this place had us covered! My son tried to "unplug" , but owns his own business so he really regretted he could not get wifi...but after all, it is a vacation! The fire pit was terrific! The owners accommodated our needs for more than a Keurig coffee maker and that was special. We are planning a trip back next summer...I hope to retrieve my wine opener I left:)
I am so glad that we could make you stay special and are looking forward to your next stay next summer!
really nice place for our familiy
We were in the area for a wedding. It was really nice to be able to have our immediate family all in one place. Made use of the fire pit every night we were there. Was close to Indian River to take advantage of other activities and shops.
Thee house was well equipped and clean. Would recommend to other familiies
Thank you for choosing to stay with us!
Nice big space for the whole family to get away
For my parents' anniversary, we decided to get them an extended family vacation. So the two parents, three kids and four grandkids all arranged to get together for a week. The property was nice and big and perfectly suited for the large group to spend time together. The kitchen was also a good enough size that multiple people could be working together on the family meals. The walls, floors, and ceiling are all wood, which makes for a beautiful, woodsy environment, but also means that sound bounces all over the place. So if you're a light sleeper that goes to sleep earlier or wakes up later that the others you're traveling with, be sure to pack some ear plugs.
The house is pretty secluded, but just a short drive away from restaurants, a lake, and nearby towns like Petoskey and Mackinac Island.
The hosts Naomi and Vadim were extremely responsive to all email questions and we had all the information we needed to get into the house and enjoy the amenities.
Overall, we had a great time and I wish we could have stayed longer. We would definitely return again.
Thank you Mike, I am glad you and you family had a nice time. You guys are welcome back the next time you would like to visit the area.
