Guestbook comments from the owner

Dear Wanner Family,

Where do we begin? Everything was wonderful. Our stay here was so relaxing and enjoyable. My son enjoyed running and playing outside. He named your cows. My daughter and niece would run to the pond every morning to catch the "big" fish. My inlaws came up for 2 days and they fell in love with your home just as we did. Everything was perfect and we look forward to coming back next year!

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

This place is great. We all loved it. The pictures do not do it justice. It's beautiful here. It was clean and well maintained. The Wanner's are great people very helpful if we needed anything. I would definitely recommend this farmhouse to anyone who is looking to get away to a nice peaceful place. Loved it! Can't wait to go back.

Farmhouse in Lancaster area everything one could want.

  • 5 of 5

Farmhouse was very old house that has had an addition added to it many years ago. With a 93 year old mother along for the trip, she was able to get around with her walker with little problem. The entrance is at road level and a large bedroom with a walk-in shower are both on the main level. Much room and everyone who visited during our small reunion loved it. Hpe to visit again next year.

Great farmhouse

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at the guesthouse. All 10 of us had plenty of room and the accommodations were very comfortable. Our host Jennifer was very welcoming and checked in just to make sure everything was fine. We had a wonderful stay.

Wanner Farmhouse Stay

  • 5 of 5

The farmhouse worked out wonderfully for our family. We had plenty of space for the number of people that stayed there on different days. We were able to spread out throughout the house. The window air conditioners worked fine in keeping the house cool and even allowed for a little more privacy since they could allow people to have private conversations in their own bedrooms. Nice large kitchen table accommodated many people during meal times. Being able to enjoy the deck and the big yard was great, too. House was clean and Jen Wanner was excellent to talk to and work with on getting the reservations lined up. It would have been nice to have a working microwave and some pegs to hang some of our clothing. Overall, it was a great place. I would highly recommend Wanner farmhouse.

Welcoming

  • 5 of 5

As you turn onto Wanner Road you enter a place where time and innocence stand still. Birds fly high, but slowly, the animals seems to stop and stair, because time stands still. You enter "Wanner's Pride N Ejoy Guest House" through a door where you expect to see your grandmother on the other side with sweet rolls with cold lemonade in mason jars are waiting. The house is big enough for all, but its charms draws you to gather in one spot and get to know each other again, as time stands still. The sound that brings it all to life, the trotting of stoic horses pulling carriages with neighbors who are simple and innocent, they wave and smile at you, because time has stood still. The morning sky awakens you with a kiss of the sun, the afternoons finds you not wanting to leave the beautiful view of rolling hills from the newly designed deck and the moon puts you to sleep as you dream with a back drop of stars dancing lighting a sky as black as coal.

The hosts are fabulously friendly always available. The house has everything you and your family/friends will need for a wonderful time, each room having it's own story to tell. There are kid friendly animals, a nice play area on the side of the house for your little ones to play and a good stash of toys in the kitchen so leave yours at home. A free tour of the Dairy Farm and all of its' charms is includes, which I highly recommend You'll love the new born calves and gain a better appreciation of how our dairy products get from the farm to the table. Leave the city for a place where the quite makes your heart smile, where the green makes you listen to your heart and a few miles away you can admire crafts, taste the homemade freshness of a time long ago, ... or just sit and listen as time stands still. You'll love it. I always do.
