Our units are family-friendly and pet-friendly(to a certain extent). They are remodeled in 2014 with granite counter tops, marble backsplash, hardwood floors, window A/C, heat, TV, Wi-Fi, full utility kitchen including fridge, oven, toaster, kitchenware and all the necessities to make you feel at home. Both bedrooms in the unit have queen sized beds. Free parking is included on the street in front of the building, or the parking lot on the side of the building.
We fully enjoyed our stay. There's a lot to do in the area. The front room is pretty loud since its right on the street. I would recommend less air freshener in the apartment as well. It was clean and perfect for our stay. We love Nori's across the street! The medicine cabinet needs a latch, FYI.
We recently traveled to Saranac Lake to ride the rail cars- (fun !) We booked one night at the apartment. We arrived late (9 pm) lights on the porch were off, so we had a little bit of confusion getting into our apartment, but once inside we were quite pleased with the place. It is cozy, has a full kitchen, and 2 bedrooms on opposite ends of space. It's small but well appointed- craftsman style. Could be a nice home base if staying in the area- we only stayed one night due to our schedule. We did have one unfortunate incident- the heat had gone out that day, and the manager informed us (I sent a text when we arrived and couldn't get the heat on) that there was nothing (he/she) could do, it was "out of their power and control". It was expected to be in the 20's that night, and the apartment was already chilly when we arrived. I requested a space heater or some electric blankets, but that was "not possible" either. So, we went to bed bundled in everything we had, as it was now 10 pm and we didn't know of any other options. I was given the owners number to call, but declined due to the late hour. I would definitely be calling and complaining in the morning. I guess that worked, because the heat came back on in the middle of the night, and in the morning we were able to shower and continue on with our vacation. My complaint is the handling of the situation, not the situation itself. The apartment is cozy and modern. Never met the manager, so I can't really comment on that any more than I have.
First off, the location of this place is perfect! Walking distance to Tops grocery, Main Street and all the shops in the historic downtown of Saranac Lake. The unit is in a home that has been converted into apartments - some of the apartments appear to be unfinished but the unit we stayed in was finished, very quaint and perfect for our 4-person (two couples) stay. Whomever lives at the place full time must love to garden because the place is surrounded by lovely container gardens. The street was quiet and the neighborhood very safe. Some reviewers thought the place was small, but we thought it was a perfect size for two couples, especially since we weren't going to Saranac Lake to stay inside. The wifi and TV worked great, there was an abundance of towels and clean linens, and the kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, pots and pans, bowls, cups, etc. We never met the hosts, but they responded to emails immediately and everything was as it was supposed to be when we arrived. The place is absolutely perfect for those looking for a weekend or week-long getaway to ADK.
The place was really nice , cute and charming.
Super clean and the sheets/ towels smelled amazing. Newly renovated.
Very well located, steps from downtown Saranac and 10min from Lake Placid. Attraction/activities : Olympics display, hiking , canoeing, shopping in the cutest shops.
They are super dog friendly which was very nice. The scenery was gorgeous !
Would return any day !
Very nice place, it may be too small for 4 people, but the owner warned us about that, so that's no fault of the owner. Although we never met, Idriz was very prompt in responding to questions, both before and during our stay. Everything was a bit smaller than we thought it would be- the bathroom, both bedrooms, but we didn't spend a lot of time there (except when it rained). I would stay there again, the location for Saranac Lake and the surrounding areas was perfect. Good restaurants, ATM, grocery, pharmacy within easy walking distance.
We enjoyed our stay here. The place was clean with an abundance of towels! Although a little small it worked out well. The decorations were very woodsy and appropriate for the location which was appealing. Our only complaint would be that we didn't have any internet/wi-fi connection as advertised, as well as the "basic cable" being only the TV guide channel. Otherwise the location was perfect for walking into town, or driving around to other towns. It was ideal for the rugby tournament that we came up for.
We are located in 'The Heart of the Adirondacks,' at downtown Saranac Lake, NY. We are located in the center of local activities from the newly made carousel and park down the street, to Lake Flour up the street from which are both walking distance to. There are two parks in town, one park is 2 minutes walking distance and the other about 10 minutes walking distance. The one down the road has a basketball court, playground and a carousel. On your way to the park, you will come across a bank, pharmacy, grocery store and even a gas station across the street from the park. The other park has swings, a basketball court and even a tennis court. It is also nearby Ampersand Bay and stores such as family dollar and a hardware store. Lake Flour, which is located up the street, is popular among locals for boating, water skiing, jet skiing, tubing, fishing, and swimming. Traveling through the locks on Lake Flour, you can enter Lower Saranac Lake which offers Bluff Island which is a steep 70 ft. cliff for the brave jumpers and has lower heights for the less brave. If you travel on Route 3 towards Tupper Lake, you will come across Red Fox Restaurant which offers some of the most delicious local food. Specializing in prime rib and seafood, this is a must try restaurant. Mount Baker trail is located right next to Moody Pond and is a beginners hiking trail. Once at the top, there is only a beautiful view of the Adirondacks to be seen, especially in Fall with the color changing leafs. Mount Pisgah offers skiing trails (mostly for beginners) but also host the annual Pumpkin Fest. Along with the Pumpkin Fest, the corn maze is another fun activity to do with the family during the Fall season. Saranac Lake is know for its annual Ice Castles during the winter in which a new design castle is made each year to go along with a theme. A town king and queen are crowned, a parade takes place on Main Street (which is 1-2 minutes walking distance) and the whole town takes in holiday festivities. Lake Placid, NY is located ten to fifteen minutes driving distance from our location and is known as the Olympic Town. It offers many tourist attractions such as Whiteface Mountain for skiing and winter activities, Mirror Lake for its local beach and swimming as well as Lake Placid which is bigger for boating and jet skiing. Player's Sports Bar and Grill is a good place to grab a quick bite, especially the summer special salads that they have to offer. They are located right on Mirror Lake and one can enjoy a meal and a beautiful view. During the winter season, people can pay to ride dog sleds which take place right behind Players. The Main Street in Lake Placid offers outlet stores such as Gap and Izod, as well as many restaurants such as Jimmy's 21 Italian Restaurant and Ere's Pizza.
