My family and I stayed the week of 07/09/16 and had a great time. The creek, fire pit and hot tube were awesome! Spent the day at the creek on Sunday and cooked S'mores that night on the fire pit. (But be warned that the nuts from the trees will fall on your head and it hurts.) The cabin is pretty much stocked with all you will need. Enjoyed playing the games that are there too. The area attractions were very enjoyable too. We enjoyed the Great Smoky Mountain train ride, Sliding Rock, Deep Creek Trail just to name a few. And the owners are great to work with. Would recommend this home to friends.
What a fabulous vacation home! My friends and I agree, we have never stayed in a more organized or well stocked home. We regret not being able to use the hot tub because the approaching winter storm resulted in high winds with sticks and branches falling all over. The fireplace more than made up for it, The area is beautiful and we hope to be able to book another long weekend in the summer so we might enjoy the creek and fire pit.
I am the queen of research and it took me several months to find the perfect place, that would be Carolina House! We have grand kids from 6 months to 5 years old + 3 sets of parents to accommodate and Carolina House had it all. We loved the master suite on ground level so the Grandparents could escape. The two upstairs bedrooms were perfect and the fact that the owner has equipped the house for a crawling toddler was icing on the cake. Loved the river, fished and swam and walked the length. Stars were beautiful in the hot tub on the back porch and everyone spent tons of time on the front screened in porch rocking and swinging. The grounds were well kept the house had everything we could possibly need including the washer and dryer! Bryson city has tons of stuff to do we went hiking, gem hunting, took the train, fishing, and even spent an afternoon at Santaland. Parks close by were beautiful and very close. Town was just a quick drive away yet we felt like we were all alone in our own paradise at Carolina House. Reservations were handled so wonderfully and lots of great information was shared on what to do. We even loved the plant ID chart at the house to look through the woods with while we hiked. We used the grill multiple nights and the fire ring down at the river with stump seats and plenty of back up wood. Would I recommend this property to anyone, no I would recomend it to Everyone!!
We were a group of 8 members who stayed at Carolina House during Thanksgiving 2013. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this property. Carolina House was fascinating and it had surpassed our expectations in every aspect. We had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked, The beds were clean and comfortable and enough clean towels were made available for all of us. The only thing we missed was WIFI and I am sure the owner will make it available soon.
Mr. Paul is an awesome and very cool person to deal with. He had fulfilled everything he had promised us during our stay at Carolina House.
We hope to come back next year in the fall to enjoy the beautiful views. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a great vacation in Nantahala. Carolina House will always remain as one of our best holiday destinations in Nantahala.
We loved our stay at the Caroline House. The location was perfect. I enjoyed drinking coffee on the porch each morning and listening to the creek below. Very relaxing. The house is clean and very thoughtfully stocked with everything you may need. It is great for kids too. My daughter loved playing in the creek and taking the stairs up to the cabin. We had a fantastic time and hope to stay here again next time we visit.
