The great room features a beautiful fieldstone fireplace, endless windows to let in the natural light, a big screen television and cozy sitting groups for guest enjoyment. A complimentary continental breakfast is served daily. The perfect Vermont retreat!
My friends and I stayed in the newly renovated Barn and had a thoroughly enjoyable visit. The rooms were exceptionally clean and well appointed and our needs were well cared for by Josh and Ann all weekend. Even though we scarcely wanted to use if for the lovely scenery and outdoors to be enjoyed (we even gathered around the firepit through the afternoon to soak up sun), the wifi was strong which is always a big plus in remote locations. Ann was great at providing eating recs for nearby Killington and we had a homey feel the whole time. Highly recommend.
Enjoyed another great weekend at Trailside, where they hosted the SOLO Wilderness First Aid training class. We had about 10-12 of us in our group where used the great room as our class room to learn different Scenarios that we might encounter in the wilderness that would require first Aid. At night we got to sit around the fire from the field stone fireplace and get to tell stories about our wilderness expeditions. Trailside is centrally located to killington skiing & Pittsfield for all the local events. I would definitely stay there other events in the area.
I stayed at Trailside Lodge as part of a camping trip. We were in the dorm rooms, which had bunks, and a queen sized bed. It's perfect for groups and families. However, what stands out the most was the atmosphere. There is TONS of space in the Great Room, and everyone would hang out in there and talk and tell stories... including the owners. Plenty of big tables for everyone to sit at for dinner too. And I thought it was pretty cool that they had a full size refrigerator for you to put your food, drinks, and left overs in. All around great place. Close to everything you need, and an awesome deal.
Had a great weekend at Trailside for our DR Training. We had about 40 people in our group and we all had a nice meal in the great room where we all enjoyed the roaring fire going in the field stone fire place and for those who dared went out to the new fire pit made from the river rocks pulled from the river running along side the inn. Trailside is centrally located to killington skiing & Pittsfield for all the local events. I would definitely stay there other events in the area.
Just recently I had the pleasure of staying at the Trailside Inn in the Farmhouse and it was everything I was hoping for! An amazing place to get away and relax! An awesome staff, great atmosphere, fantastic views, close to food or anything else you may want! I have just found my go to Inn in VT!
We stayed at Trailside for our company retreat in February. Our group was 28 people for 2 nights - and we stayed in The Farmhouse, The Loft, and some bunk rooms.
The Inn was perfect for our group. We had enough space to meet as a group and all 28 of us managed to eat dinner together in The Farmhouse. The Innkeeper was extremely accommodating, understanding, and responsive.
All around - great place!
Conveniently located very close to hiking trails, including the Appalachian Trail. Great mountain biking on the nearby Green Mountain Trails. We also have quiet country roads for road biking, with bike rentals through our friends at Great Bike Tours.
Several ski resorts with a 20 minute drive. Our Inn makes a great ski house, as well as a location for your next retreat, family reunion, or wedding.
