Great Place for Family or Friends

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at the Log Cabin with friends for a long autumn weekend and we loved it.

Kim was quick to respond to questions before the trip, and the house was impeccably clean and had everything we needed. We sat by the lake in the afternoons and enjoyed the fireplace inside on cool evenings.

The location was also great. We hiked at nearby echo lake, and were close to town (and some great restaurants) in Ludlow (a short 5 min drive away).

I definitely recommend this house for a family with kids (who can stay in the upstairs bedroom) or a gathering of friends!

A great get away. They had everything we wanted.

  • 5 of 5

We were so happy here. Checked all boxes: lake, kayaks, fire pit, grill, log cabin, trees. The only thing that wasn't perfect was that we could still hear and see traffic on the main road, and would have liked larger beds, but otherwise, it was a total dream and we hope to return next summer.

Everything we hoped for...and more.

  • 5 of 5

We arrived at the cabin in the early hours Sat morning having taken a red-eye flight from Denver. We were slightly worried about arriving there with three kids who would wake up to an empty fridge. That being said, we were beyond pleasantly surprised to find the cabin spotlessly clean and stocked with plenty of food and all of the toiletries we might have forgotten.

Lake Pauline is small and quiet--exactly what we were looking for. Our kids, ages 6 to 11, could paddle around alone in front of the dock (wearing life vests, of course) in the kayaks. One of the highlights of the trip for the kids was kayaking over to get maple creamies at the Sugar Shack (I think that is the name) and then kayaking back in a torrential downpour. You can't predict the weather in Vermont so you need to embrace it!

The location of the cabin is just far enough of out town to make grocery shopping and dining out convenient. We loved our stay and would recommend this charming retreat to anyone seeking a relaxing getaway!

The perfect rustic cabin getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Quaint, truly rustic feel, perfect location. The owner goes well beyond in supplying the cabin with all of life's necessities...blankets, towels, cooking items, toiletries, etc. The cabin is immaculate and well kept. A perfect country visual overlooking the water while sitting on the front porch. I am planning another getaway here soon!

Owner's Response: Thank you, Tracey! We're so glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope that you do come for a summer visit, summer is a whole different experience: kayaks, hikes, fire pits, cookouts and falling asleep to the sounds of critters on the lake :-) fyi: summer books fast, there are only a couple of weeks left in 2017.
