About the property

Condo, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 6

Right in the heart of North Lake Tahoe is the Carnelian Bay Gem Vacation Rental, a three-bedroom home with room for six. You'll be dazzled by its gorgeous custom kitchen, brand-new baths, beautiful great room, and lovely artwork. Complex also has pool, hot tubs, tennis, and the most convenient location in North Tahoe!

Carnelian Bay Gem has everything you need for the most comfortable and exciting vacation ever! Two bedrooms, a large loft, and two full baths accommodate up to eight guests (six if all adults).

You will all want to gather in the great room to cook, barbecue on the balcony deck, dine, build a fire, read a book, and watch TV or movies.

The custom kitchen and wet bar will impress you with how elegant, functional and well-equipped they are. Four bar stools sit at the massive granite peninsula, and the dining table also seats up to eight.

In the great room, you'll love the vaulted-ceiling, relaxing couches, cozy wood fireplace, and sliding glass door to the balcony deck with propane grill and seating. The creek bubbles through the forest right below the deck.

The main floor also features a king bedroom and a full bath. On the upper level, you will revel in the comfort of a queen master bedroom, loft bedroom with queen bed and twin trundle beds, and a full bath accessible from either area. The whole house is bathed in natural Sierra light, but able to be softened with micro-blinds. There's also a washer and dryer.

Carnelian Woods has so much to offer that you might never leave: tennis, seasonal pool, year-round hot tubs, clubhouse with pool table and arcade, hiking, biking, and par course. And the larger area of Carnelian Bay has a great beach on Lake Tahoe, watersports rentals, great restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, pier, marina, convenience store, and miniature golf course.

Of course, all North Tahoe has to offer is just minutes away. Kings Beach is just three miles up the road, and Tahoe City is six miles down the other way. Alpine, Squaw, and Northstar Ski Resorts are all within 12 miles! Crystal Bay, Nevada's historic casinos and nightlife are just four miles away, and Incline Village, Nevada's casinos, world-class restaurants, and recreation center are eight miles from the condo.

Make this condo your home away from home during your next Lake Tahoe vacation!

Clean and neat, great location. Kitchen was stocks as promised.

Biggest issue was that the Wi-Fi did not work.

The Wi-Fi network in the check-in instructions was not detected and the password did not work in any of the other networks detected.

I was trying to be on vacation but need to monitor my emails in while I am away.

This was the perfect size for four people, which we had. Four beds total, very cozy

Overall great experience. 25 min from Alpine and Squaw. The kitchen is fully stocked, which we used to cook dinner every night we were here. Very easy to get to as well.

Carnelian Townhomes

Hi, The town home was lovely. We enjoyed our stay. I do think the entertainment system was hard to operate and turning on the fireplace was a bit difficult but eventually we figured it out. Thank you!!!

ok place

  • 3 of 5

comfortable place, location is ok. enjoyed the gas fireplace. nice enough kitchen except they have a big microwave that doesn't work, i suggest they change that out, couple hundred bucks at lowes. would be nice to have a microwave for warm beverages and leftovers. you should also include instructions for the dishwasher, it's a bit confusing. the two big beds were also on the uncomfortable side. flipped one mattress and that helped. the place was built in the early 70s and has furniture from that era which is interesting and comfortable for the most part, but maybe the beds are ready for a revival. putting boards between the mattress and box-spring is a good sign of replacement time. otherwise, a nice place. just needs a little attention.

Was good better than staying at a hotel. A condo is the way to go. Nice would stay again

It was semi-clean, had some cobwebs. The management company was nice to let us check-in early and also telling us the information about the area. Friendly person, gave us her card for if we need anything or if we would in future need another place to stay. But she said she would be back to clean the cobwebs, but didn't come back.

Furniture was outdated, needs a new couch was uncomfortable, mattress was old--needed to be changed, was very soft and mattress cover looked like it hadent been changed in years. We bought our own blankets, pillow cases and mattress cover. For us to feel comfortable we washed the towels and linen to feel clean. It was nice and quite since it was during the off season--no one was there except during the weekends

We give our stay 3 Stars. The rating section on this page wasn't working correctly
