Overall this was ok. The location is good. Easy to enter as there is a lockbox at the front door. Parking passes were in the unit. There are two bedrooms and a bathroom downstairs, main level is the kitchen, dining area and family room. Deck with a bbq. Third floor is the master. However, the property management company seems to ignore issues with this unit. Fireplace still does not work. The microwave should be replaced, the handle is broken and is held together with duct tape. The shower upstairs leaks through the ceiling above the dining room table. I called Vacasa and told them about the leak. Still waiting to hear from them about this issue. Not sure if they are going to look into it. We also found towels in the dryer that were not put away from the last guest. Poor property management.
It's not the fault of the housekeepers. The house is just old and rundown - the carpet is disgusting!! There was a piece of sticky poop looking stuff stuck to the carpet on the third floor landing, the pans were crusted over with grease and burnt stuff, the couch is old and everything just feels really really dirty. The microwave is broken and half the lights are missing lightbulbs. You couldn't pay me enough to stay there again. I couldn't relax because I felt so grossed out the whole time.
Stayed February 4-6, 2017.
Overall: The place is a comfortable (read: worn -in), yet dated and not terribly functional tri-level, condo within the greater Northstar village. Note: As the map shows, the condo is NOT in the Village-proper where the new condos have been built around the Ice Rink That area is a walk you would likely only make in the summer/fall.
The price point, under $250/night, seems about right for what you get, though fees ramped our price up to over $375/night.
What you get is three bedrooms with 4 overall beds, a large flatscreen tv in the living room, a working kitchen and a Washer/Dryer.
Inconveniences are: 1) no bathroom on the main level; 2) master bedroom is two floors above the other bedrooms which is a consideration for families with younger kids; 3) a cleaning service that is inconsistent at best and lazy at worst (our kitchen was not clean upon arrival and wet sheets were left to fester in the dryer); 4) a non-functioning fireplace (a real bummer in winter); a microwave held together with duct tape; 5) drawers missing from dressers and cabinets; 6) light bulbs missing from about 50% of the lamps and fixtures in the house; and, 7) a complete lack of property management service.
Property Management: This last issue is the key. I contacted the property management on 3 separate occasions during our weekend to ask for instructions on the fireplace and never received a response, yet I received automated emails that asked how I was enjoying my stay and encouraged me to call a specific number if I had any questions. That number, it seems, is ignored. So is the reply email.
Therefore, I recommend this unit only to those who choose a condo based on location & price. You will get a condo in Northstar that has beds, tv's, towels, pots and plates and good hot water. We did not get more than that and were a little disappointed.
