We stayed at the Berkshire Country Estate in early March. Very clean and well appointed home and Laurie is an extraordinary Concierge, always cheerful and willing to help. The location was picturesque and the yard was perfect for impromptu whiffle ball games. There is nothing more that I can say that hasn't been said in the other 5 star reviews. Laurie and her magnificent home deserve a thumbs up.
We stayed at The Berkshire Country Estate over a holiday weekend with two other families (total of 6 adults, 8 kids). Laurie met us at the house, showed us around, and answered all of our questions. It was actually very helpful having her meet us at the house and she was very welcoming.
The house is simply huge and there was more than enough room for all of us. We didn't even use all of the rooms. The kids loved playing in the basement (air hockey table, TV, pinball). The only room that is in need of an upgrade is the kitchen, but it was completely usable and didn't inconvenience us at all.
Laurie was very responsive whenever I had a question for her. We happened to stay at the estate over one of the coldest weekends in history and one of the bedrooms was very cold. However, as soon as I told her about the issue, she sent a heating company to check out the HVAC system. While they were unable to resolve the issue, most likely because of the record breaking frigid temperatures, we did appreciate Laurie's responsiveness and concern. In fact, Laurie was gracious enough to provide a credit on the returned security deposit as a courtesy. Lastly, the security deposit was returned within a reasonable timeframe.
Overall, we had a great weekend with great friends at The Berkshire Country Estate and I would stay there again.
I plan multiple group trips throughout the year and always use the same formula in making the final selection: speak to the owner. From our very first conversation through to receiving my security deposit, Laura was extremely cordial, quick with her responses and super helpful.
She helped me with an itinerary for our weekend (15 guests) and the winery and restaurant were big hits for my group. The porperty is extremely spacious and endearing. I would definitely return!
We stayed at the Berkshire Country Estate over the MLK weekend with three other families - 15 people total. The house was perfect for us. Everyone had a comfortable bed, and each family had their own space. The kitchen was great for making post-skiing dinners, and the large living room with the wood burning fireplace was very accommodating. Laurie was a gracious host, meeting us upon our arrival and showing us around. Overall a wonderful stay. We'll be back.
Went to the property with a group of 10. The combination of the spacious home and large lawn was more than we could have hoped. Games in the front lawn and dinner on the back patio. We love the outdoors but could have comfortably spent the entire stay indoors with all 10 of us. The host (Laurie) was very easy to communicate with. This property is strongly recommended and we will be returning.
We rented the Berkshire Country Estate along with four other families for our annual college reunion, and we couldn't have been happier. The property is gorgeous and there was plenty to keep the kids and adults happy. The owner was incredibly helpful and responsive, and very forgiving. We hope to be back again.
