About Gayle White

Coming from the northeast, I moved first to California, then Texas and finally for the last 25 years have chosen Orlando as home. This is my favorite part of the US for year round 'green', ease of travel to and from beaches east & west and wonderful activities! There is always something new to do. Every entertainer ends up performing here so they can combine vacation and work. Major corporations are here for conventions and team building. Families visit to create memories that last forever. Those of us who are fortunate enough to live here appreciate our tourist population as YOU are what Orlando is all about!! :)

Gayle White purchased this townhome in 2010

Why Gayle White chose Disney / Orlando

The location can't be beat. First the views - lakefront! You can be at any park within 5 to 10 minutes or at the convention center, movies, go carts, mini golf, outlet shopping, theater, live music, golfing - just seconds to minutes from your front door. 5 water parks for endless fun -Aquatica, Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, Wet & Wild and Coco Kay.

What makes this townhome unique

There's an on-site restaurant that has a take out Pizza Hut too. Game arcade. Lighted tennis courts. A new super WalMart sells discount tickets right up the street. Safe too and so easy to get to and from the airport or Interstate.

Guestbook comments from the manager

We had so much fun and liked the town house. It was close to the pool and kids under 12 eat free at the restaurant. We spent most of our time at Universal but plan to come back for SeaWorld next time. We also spent one day at a Disney water park. This place is easy to get to and lots of room. After being together in the car and in the parks all day, it was nice to have rooms away from each other and a family room where we played card games. We'll be back!

Great place in a great location

  • 5 of 5

I just got back from staying in the town home during my vacation in Orlando with my teenage son and we loved it! The place was clean upon arrival and nicely decorated & furnished. The kitchen contained everything we needed as well. The location couldn't be better and was only a few miles from the Disney Parks, Universal Studio parks and SeaWorld (all of which we visited). Gayle provided a great shortcut to the Disney parks.....definitely use it as I-4 can get pretty busy. It is also convenient to shopping and restaurants as well, especially International Drive. Definitely visit the Smokehouse Grill next door - great meal. Gayle was very accessible, responded quickly to messages, and was very helpful with the whole booking process. I will definitely recommend this property to family and friends in the future who are planning an Orlando vacation

Large space, cozy feel!

  • 5 of 5

What a great spot! We were very happy with the space of this resort property as we were travelling with our two university age children. Having three queen beds was excellent, there aren't many places that have that as an option. Although our original booking was under renovation when we arrived (those darn contractors) the alternative spot turned out to be the same layout with a different décor and we did manage to move into our original spot during our stay without any fuss. The kitchen was equipped well enough to make meals when we weren't too tired from playing at the parks all day and it was great to have the option. The resort area is quiet and well away from the freeway so we didn't notice any traffic noise but still has great access to Universal Studios (about 10 minutes) and Walt Disney World (15 to 20) without going out on the freeway. International Drive is also super close and easy to get to (and Sea World) with lots of shopping and dining options. Toll Highway access is reasonable with the drive to Cocoa Beach being a reasonable distance. I would recommend attending the Cocoa Village Theatre if you're a fan of Broadway and stage shows, we had an opportunity to see "In the Heights" and it was top notch with a very low price. The resort is also located on a lake and it was fun to watch the water fowl in the mornings as they flew around hunting. Gayle was super excellent to deal with and very helpful with tips and information and also keeping us up to date on the renovations. We highly recommend this resort and bookings through Gayle and will definitely stay here again if the opportunity comes our way.

Nice peaceful area right in the middle of everything!

  • 5 of 5

We had an excellent week at the home. It was a quiet neighborhood and a really nice house with everything we needed. The pool was amazing! Perfect temp after a long hot day. A nice big pool never too crowded. Also really nice to have the smoke house next door, good smells all day long... We did have a problem with the onsite laundry facilities though. Tried 2 washers, had the quarters in, and they wouldn't work. We had to find other means to do laundry, took a bit longer than we planned. And the main level sink was plugged. I did inform on day 2 of this, we ended up fixing the clog ourselves as not having a sink was worse than waiting for it to be fixed. Over all a really nice place to stay, nice beds, clean sheets and towels. Good new furniture.

Orlando Oasis is just that

  • 5 of 5

To start with the manager, Gayle, was wonderful and very accessible. I was traveling as a single dad with my two pre-teen girls. We got into Orlando early and we were able to find the place with ease and get checked in early with no problems (place was already cleaned and ready before 11am...wow!)... Thanks...that helped out immensely. The place was wonderfully furnished and in a great location for our intended purpose. My girls immediately gave it their approval upon arrival....and they are very picky girls. The location provided easy access to just about everything you would need to visit in Orlando. The welcoming book with directions to various destinations was great and spot on. If I found myself in Orlando again for business or pleasure I would definitely inquire into the availability of this "Oasis". About the only "negative" I could think of was the multiple remotes for the televisions. I guess I'm sort of spoiled at home in that I only want to have to use one remote to operated everything..dvd, tv, cable, stereo etc...but it wasn't too complicated after Gayle talked me through it over the phone...lol! Overall great place and I would definitely use it again if I find myself in Orlando.

Owner's Response: I hear you! I'm calling Direct TV today to find out what they can do to get it to one remote. Meanwhile, I'm updating the welcome manual with pictures and clear explanation to turn TV's on more easily. Thank you for your very positive review!

Notes:
Westgate Lakes Timeshare Resort is next door. Their lobby is open to the public. (but not the pools) It is huge with Disney Planning Desk, Brochure counter, Deli, Market, Refreshments, Jewelry Counter and Art Gallery. Their gym is $5/day to use. Their Papillion Spa offers hair, nails and massage. Taxi service is fast from the townhomes as they are always around the Westgate area and generally just have to drive from there to you. See your welcome manual for phone numbers. There is a shuttle bus from the on-site restaurant near your townhome to the Westgate lobby so you can go up there easily during restaurant hours. It runs about every 20 minutes. No shuttle to the parks.
