This Coastal Living inspired home located on beautiful Palm Island awaits the guests that want all the bells and whistles for comfort and fun on their vacation! This spacious waterfront home has 2,000 sf of living area and shows like a model home!
Inside you will find a very large living room / great room next to the spacious coastal kitchen with granite counter-tops and the dining room, all with volume ceilings. The kitchen is loaded with dinnerware, cookware and entertaining extras to make vacation meals fun and easy.
The large private pool is screened and yet surrounded by lush tropical landscaping. The pool is heated in the winter months and there is no charge for heating. Relax and unwind on one of the 6 lounge chairs by the pool. Or, after grilling your steaks, enjoy a tropical meal at the poolside dining table.
There is a double hammock under the lush palm trees to indulge yourself in some personal quiet time, or if you prefer, there are three beach bikes that our guests may use free of charge to explore this quiet island. Getting around by golf cart is always a favorite vacation memory, and the 'Silver Palm' has a 6 passenger golf cart available for rent to our guests.
Our Palm Island beaches are virtually private and have the best shell collecting in Florida due to our Gulf coast location and no crowds! The Silver Palm home sits on a large double waterfront lot that has an abundant variety of palm trees and citrus trees. Landscaping is one of our passions, and our goal is to make you feel like you are in a tropical paradise while on vacation! Enjoy panoramic views of the quiet inshore waters and breathtaking sunrises from the deck or dock while sipping on your coffee in the morning and remembering what it feels like to simply be 'relaxed'. The ospreys and seagulls will sing to you their morning calls as the harbor wakes up and invites you outside.
The owner, 'Blake' is passionate about saltwater fishing and is quite willing to share all his fishing tips and experience as well as 'fishing hole' locations to the guests so that they too can 'catch a fun memory!' Our guests enjoy free use of the double fishing kayak during their stay. It is a great way to get on the protected inshore waters behind the home and try your hand at catching Sea Trout, Snook, Redfish, and more, or to just enjoy a quiet paddle in the protected harbor or the State Park waters next to us. The kayak is a favorite outing for the kids and adults!
Be sure to ask about our sister property right next door, called the 'Grand Cayman' which can be found on HomeAway or VRBO.com # 202729 . The owner Blake Monroe may be contacted in Florida at 863-608-6788.
All this is waiting for you at the 'Silver Palm' on Palm Island!
The Silver Palm is the best house we have stayed at on any vacation. The house is very roomy and filled with the finest luxuries. After a day of fishing on the amazing dock, riding the provided kayak or walking the beach, the covered pool is the perfect night cap. There are so many things to do here and Blake is always very helpful pointing them out. He really goes above and beyond what any owner needs to. I would highly recommend staying at the Silver Palm if you are vacationing on Palm Island. We will return year after year.
This is a very well kept property. The owner, Blake, met us there briefly when we arrived and gave us a little tour, and some tips on how to catch snook off the dock. The inside has a big open kitchen/dining/living room area. In the back of the house are two bathrooms and three bedrooms.
Our twin 9 year old boys enjoyed the pool, which was larger than we thought from the pictures, and they spent many hours fishing off the dock. At night there is a fish light so you can look down and see the various fish swimming about and try to catch them if you are so inclined. One night a dolphin breezed through, looking for an easy meal no doubt! Our friend Amy who was sitting on the dock at the time mistook the dolphin for a large shark and came running up to the house in a panic, but we went down and saw (and heard) it was a dolphin.
We were on Don Pedro with two other families who stayed at other homes. Invariably everyone would gravitate to our house at the end of the day. It was so comfortable. The weather each day was warm/hot enough to hit the beach. The Silver Palm golf cart is faster than any other on the island I think.
The island has a resort at one end that has a small store and a restaurant/bar and a pirate named Redbeard who entertains the kids. All of this is open to the general public, you just have to check in at the resort entrance. The beaches had a decent enough surf that the boys enjoyed boogie boarding. And there are a ton of shells and occasional shark teeth to be found.
Thanks for taking such good care of the Silver Palm and sharing it!
I almost don't want to write this as I don't want the best kept secret in Florida given away. Wow, Silver Palm on Palm Island is just an incredible site full of the most peaceful and joyful memories. We were so blessed to stay this past week at Silver Palm! I say blessed because it is truly a place where your family will make amazing memories. The house is named for the incredible Silver Palm.
We were so honored to have Blake (owner) next door and giving my husband and I a private fishing lesson. My first time fishing ever the first day I kept seeing a bunch of fish jumping out of the water teasing me (these by the way are vegetarian fish so no wonder they didn't want my nice bait).... so I bought a fishing pole and frozen bait. I went out to the pier and the darn fish kept eating my bait. On the 3rd bait he took the bait, weight, hook and my line! It was then my mission to catch something... I was so relieved when Blake offered to help me. With Blake's experience I caught 5 fish - trout, red mango snapper, a baby shark, barracuda and snook! I was like a little girl in the candy store.
The best features are not just part of the extraordinary house but the peace and joy that the property allow you to feel. The salt water in ground pool allowed our 15 month old to be a little nemo swimming at all hours. The hammock gave us siesta time, the bikes allowed us to stroll around and burn off the extra calories we gained. The funniest scene would have to be when we went to the resort section for some shopping and on the way back (operator error) our golf cart stopped working... can you imagine the laughs as 3 old ladies pushed it back 1/2 mile. We laughed sooo hard we almost used the bathroom. These memories will forever be part of our sweet Palm Island love.
The house speaks for itself in the most prestigious condition, the kitchen is fully stocked with items to cook, there is an incredible 550 piece puzzle (good luck we
We have vacationed on Palm Island several times in the past, but this was by far the best home and location on the island. You can trust that this owner anticipates every possible need for his guests, and his attention to detail and hospitality were much appreciated. Not only is everything attractive and clean, but everything IS well maintained and in good working order. The home is gorgeous, tastefully decorated and furnished, and the beds were comfortable! The setting is magnificent, and the fishing was excellent. We used all the furnished toys: bicycles, kayak, pool, fish light, and we rented the "limo" golf cart- and enjoyed a relaxing and peaceful week. The wi-FI worked great for Internet needs, and the well equipped kitchen and charcoal grill were perfect for summer cookouts. We hope to return again next year.
I usually don't take the time to write a review, but feel compelled to do so as the owner of this property had once again exceeded our expectations! We had initially contacted Blake, the owner of this home through the recommendation of a friend who had recently enjoyed his stay at his property. It was a pleasure dealing with Blake as he was not only extremely helpful, but made us feel he was personally invested in insuring we had a memorable experience! Funny, once we arrived on the island, nothing could have prepared us for the jaw dropping beauty of the island, it's secluded beaches or how we would feel as we drove up to the most beautiful, private oasis we had ever had the privilege of staying. It was perfect for our family of 5 and an experience we will never forget! When I called to reserve another week at "Grand Cayman", it was booked, but Blake was telling us he had just completed a total renovation of a 2nd home on the island and assured us we would fall in love with it as well! I have to admit I was a bit nervous as we were bringing 2 other couples to the island for the first time! As we drove up to the property I could not wipe the smile off my face and from the ooh's and ahhh's I heard from the others, the excitement/relief I felt was worth the sacrifice we made saving over the past year for this long anticipated week with our friends! As we walked through the front door, I was struck with not just the fresh smell of a spotless home, but the attention to detail that went into everything from the moldings, beautiful furnishings to everything we would need to make our stay a comfortable one!
On the other hand, the guys could not wait to check out the dock, more specifically, the fishing opportunities they were so looking forward to! This has to be one of the best fishing locations on the island as we quickly lost count of the number caught, but enough that we all enjoyed at least one meal each day that included fresh snook, sea trout and snapper! I could go on and on about the private pool, beach, the convenience of the 6 seater golf cart that we had for the week, but I didn't plan on this review beconing a short story....lol! THANK YOU Blake for another incredible/memorable week, we WILL be back next year! If you're reading this and you're looking to relax, unwind and recharge, you've not only found the perfect property, but a spectacular private island to do just that!
This was our sixth visit to Palm Island for vacation, and our second time renting a house from the owner, Blake Monroe. You could not ask for a more peaceful, relaxing place to go, or a better owner to rent from! Once again, we so enjoyed our time there.
This vacation home is described as a Luxurious Waterfront Pool Home and it is that and so much more! Everything in the home is so well done. The house is beautifully decorated and the attention to detail is apparent throughout. Beautiful kitchen and bathrooms as well. The house has an open feel to it and great views from just about every room. The views are great as well from the huge screened in porch.
Everything is so organized and well maintained. The pool and patio area is beautiful as well. Even the colors of the pots for the potted plants, chairs, and pool surface and tiles there are coordinated for a relaxing, flowing effect. Again, you can see the attention to detail that went into the home. Right outside the screened in pool is a garden area, with flowers, and a hammock between two palm trees to relax in.
The boat dock is also well done and we had a great week of fishing with our boat there. The owner even supplied us with shrimp for bait to start off our week there on Palm Island.
We rented the huge golf cart that goes along with the house and it took us over to the beach in just a few minutes. Or you can bike to the beach with the bikes at the house in just a few minutes as well.
We hope to be able to return to Palm Island soon and this home would be our first choice to rent once again.
Palm Island is virtually a private coastal island and guests enjoy quiet uncrowded pristine beaches. After exploring the beach for an abundance of beach shells, cast a fishing line off the beach or dock or inshore waters for a chance at some trophy Snook, Trout, Redfish and more! You will find most guests enjoying exploring this small island by golf cart or beach bike which are available at the home. With very little traffic and almost no commercial development on the island, getting around is fun and easy.
Without a doubt, the most popular area is the private heated pool! Surrounded by lush tropical landscaping, you will feel like you are in a private resort in Hawaii. If golfing is your interest, the mainland area is full of local courses to test your skills.
