Air Conditioned Condo, 2 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 4)
We would love to welcome you to our condo. It is located in the very heart of Vaison-la-Romaine, only a few moments away from shops, boulangeries, cafes and restaurants; the famous Tuesday market is literally right out the door.
The condo, which we entirely renovated in 2010, is located on the third floor of our building—providing extensive, eye-popping views of the ancient Roman Ruins. (There is a lift, if you prefer not to walk up.) Our own apartment is located just below you on the second floor, so we are nearby if you have questions or need help. We are a French couple, and we love receiving renters from other countries and greatly enjoy having them in Vaison.
Open the double doors in the living room, pull up a chair, and gaze at the ruins while you have your apèro. Or if you prefer, there is a very large, comfortable shaded terrace with seating area and coffee table, plus a large table and chairs for meals. The condo is spacious—1,100 sq ft. The living and dining areas are very large and are furnished with authentic, Provencal walnut antiques. The television (with English language channels) is in the living room. The dining table seats 6-8 comfortably.
We have a fireplace in the living room; on cool evenings we would be happy to have a fire burning for you when you return from the day’s activities, if you would like.
In warm weather, “volets” (shutters) are used in Provence on the doors and windows help keep rooms cool; we also have air conditioning in the living and dining areas, plus in the bedrooms. The terrace has a large shade so it is a great place to relax. In Provence it is also unusual to have a large terrace in the center of town.
We have two large air conditioned bedrooms, each equipped with its own very classy and modern Italian tiled bathroom. Each bathroom has a large, comfortable shower (no tiny French shower enclosures here) and a hair dryer is supplied. Beds are 140 cm ( 56“.) An additional powder room is next to the kitchen.
A laundry room has a clothes washer. The well-equipped kitchen is close to the terrace, providing easy access for outdoor meals. We restored the condo with the highest quality, and are proud to offer it to you. When you reserve our condo, we will send you a list of shops in the area, and a list of the best restaurants, prepared by our friend, food critic and teacher (and part-time local resident,) Patricia Wells.
Our rental fees vary by season, and are all inclusive, unlike most other French rentals. We do not charge any additional fees for bed or bath linens, for wifi, or housekeeping.
The condo is entirely non-smoking, and it is not appropriate for children.
Please ask if you would like additional photos.

A full two bedroom apartment with full kitchen, dining room and living room.. Very charming in every way. Hosts were so helpful and delightful. Amazing view of the Roman ruins. We loved this place!
Leslie et sa soeur ont été des hôtes adorables ,et d'une grande gentillesse.Nous souhaitons peut-être les revoir pour un autre séjour dans notre belle Provence.
A Wonderful Vaison Vacation
We returned for the second time to Colette and Jean Claude's apartment and enjoyed it even more this past summer. They are warm and caring hosts and provided for all our needs. There is ample room and light to sit and read in the evening and we particularly appreciated the very large and modern bathroom We were able to dine on the terrace for every meal and the space also accommodated our daughter and family who were visiting Vaison during the first week of our vacation. The location is spectacular, overlooking the ruins, and just a few minutes from the center of town and the swimming pool. We are already dreaming about returning!
From the time that Collette and Jean-Claude met us and escorted us to their wonderful property to the end of our visit when they escorted us at 6:00 a.m. approximately 30 miles out of town so that we wouldn't make a wrong turn, they were the epitome of perfect hosts. Even though, our group of 2 couples didn't speak much French, and they didn't speak much English, we connected totally the moment that we met. They welcomed us with hugs and a wonderful bottle of wine. They were always available for advice and guidance whenever we needed them. Our group has stayed in properties all over Europe, and we all agreed that the Vivani's apartment was absolutely perfect. It was a wonderful blend of antique and modern. Each bedroom was a great size with extremely modern en-suite bathrooms. The views from each front window of the property were amazing, especially as the sun set. We loved relaxing on the large patio, listening to the fountain and enjoying wine and appetizers. We have recommended this property to many of our friends, and we are hoping to come back in the future.
This was our second week long visit to the Vivani's Apartment. For our first visit there were 2 couples and it was very comfortable with each bedroom having spacious en-suite bathrooms. The village of Vaison is a gem and a great central location for taking day trips. The apartment is lovely and spacious with amazing views of the ruins in the front and a beautiful open patio in the rear. Jean-Claude and Collette are warm and welcoming hosts that offer an experience that feels like your home away from home. They have equipped the apartment with everything you should need to enjoy your stay and feel comfortable. As much as we love the apartment, it's the Vivani's warm welcome and friendship that makes the visit so special. We're looking forward to our next visit.
Beautiful and spacious 2BR in a charming location
We loved our stay in this beautiful 2BR overlooking the Roman ruins in Vaison-la-Romaine in October. Our hosts were wonderful--we speak very little French and they speak some English and notwithstanding our language barriers they were so warm and welcoming and had a bottle of wine waiting for us! The unit is beautifully decorated with interesting art and a charming patio area. We would highly recommend this unit in this charming Provence town.
