Very private - family friendly - huge yard w/pool & spa - 3 BR-2BA w/fireplace
This 3 bedroom, 2 bath home (our 6th and newest vacation rental with HomeAway/VRBO), has received over $30,000 in renovations over the past three years -
with both bathroom upgrades just completed. The home sits on a very private 1/3 acre cul-de-sac lot, in a safe and established neighborhood. The great room and large master bedroom open to the huge back yard that includes a 30 ft covered deck, heated swimming pool with water fall and spa (hot tub)..... The spa heating fee is included with the rental rate..... the pool heating fee is additional. (Please ask for details as the fee varies during the year.)
The three bedrooms each sport a queen-size bed, and all furniture, including mattresses, are brand new. Enjoy 3 HD TVs with DirecTV, CD, DVD and WIFI. Everything you need to make your stay comfortable is provided, including all kitchen utensils, paper goods and linens. Plenty of parking is available in the 2 car garage, drive-way and street.
The home is conveniently located near the Valley's major freeways (I-10, Loop 202, and Loop 101), to easily and quickly get you around town. It's only a mile from one of the Valley's top shopping malls, with numerous restaurants, movie theater, and a Costco. Two casinos, several golf courses, an outlet mall and other dining and entertainment options are only minutes away. And, it's an easy and short drive to Tempe, Scottsdale and downtown Phoenix.

This is the 6th home we've listed with HomeAway over the past 7 years. We also have a property in Flagstaff that has been listed for over 5 years (# 187349). I am the owner of Desert Summit Properties, LLC. In addition to our vacation rentals, we own and manage regular single family homes, and are entering the multi-family (apartment) business this year. Prior to starting this company 12 years ago, I worked for 13 years, as a Regional Manager for Marriott Hotels. I feel the experience I gained there has enabled me to properly take care of our guests. Great Stay at a Great Property with an Amazing Host
My wife and I stayed at this property for a week. My Daughter works in the Phoenix area and we chose this property based on the proximity to her apartment. My son and his wife drove in from Los Angeles to make for a great Mother's Day for my wife.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We arrived a little early and were able to meet Steve, the owner, as he was putting on the finishing touches for our stay. The property was clean and comfortable. The pool and the patio area was enjoyed by all. The house is located in a nice quiet residential area. It was all we had hoped it would be.
I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a great place in the Chandler/Phoenix area. If another visit puts us in the Chandler area, we would stay again!

The house was beautiful.
Staying at "the home away from home" made our stay in Arizona the best. Steve was always very accommodating and pleasant. We hope to come back and stay at the house another time.
Amazing and Then Some!
Our long weekend stay was absolutely amazing! Steve was super kind and helpful. Instructions around the home were great and pool/spa instructions were easy to follow.
The home was very clean! This is the #1 most important thing for me and I was very happy. We traveled with our dogs and the yard is huge and was perfect for our pets. The house itself was smaller but perfect for 5 of us (Me, my husband, daughter and my In-laws). We were all very comfortable and happy.
One worry that we had when booking this home was how close the home was to the interstate which can be noisy. It ended up being a very quiet home and the location to the interstate was exceedingly convenient!
We traveled in February and the weather cooled down to the lower 60s during the day. We paid the additional cost to have the pool heated (85) and it was so perfect!! The heated pool plus hot tub made our trip exceptional.
We will stay here again. Such a great experience and again Steve made our stay comfortable and easy!
Not worth it.
I've rented 20+ VRBO properties in the past. I've always said if you read the reviews and descriptions you get exactly as advertised. This one surprised me. That huge wall in the backyard is a freeway wall. That should be in the description. The tranquil appearance in the photos is overshadowed by the constant freeway noise. The owner has updated the home significantly but it is still a older home in an older neighborhood. I paid a premium price for a premium home. This one was not worth it.
We are very disappointed to receive this review, and are sorry the guests were not happy with their stay. Over the past three years, this home has rented consistently 80-85% - all year long. We have numerous repeat guests, several that stay with us four or more weeks a year. Of the 40+ reviews received via HomeAway (average rating of 5 stars), this is the first issue raised regarding the freeway, or age of the neighborhood.
The freeway sound wall should not have been a surprise. It is shown in several of the listing photos, including the primary shot. And the property location map shows the proximity to the highway. The freeway is sunken below ground and an access road is located between the highway and our property. With the sound wall, there is virtually no freeway noise heard inside the home. And most of any highway sound outside is covered up by the waterfall into the pool. However, I understand that some people are more sensitive to certain sounds than others.
We have updated the home considerably over the past three years, including a recent major renovation of both bathrooms. There are exterior photos provided in the property listing of the house and street. While the home is not new, it is less than 20 years old. And I believe that "condition" is more important than "age".
